Tupelo is a place I’ve wanted to try since they opened but the past two times we tried to come, they were slammed and didn’t have any open tables. Finally, we got a reservation and managed to eat here!
Coming in on a Sunday at around 10:30 AM, they were a little less busy than I anticipated but they filled up gradually as we were eating. Our waitress was SUPER friendly and attentive to us. The overall vibe of the joint is cool.
We started with the biscuits and pimento cheese dip as an appetizer. The biscuits were good! The pimento was pretty tasty too.
As my entree, I got the classic chicken and waffles. Now what were my thoughts? It was pretty good. The waffle was fluffy and delish, and the chicken was crispy and had great seasoning!
Overall, with how much hype there is behind this place, it was worth it! If you’re on the hunt for a popping brunch spot in Downtown Indianapolis, Tupelo is the place to check out! I’ll definitely return soon.
Hands down one of the best bunch places in town! You won't find more flavorful food combinations! The combinations are unique and definitely delicious! From the biscuits to the mimosas, and we can't pass on mac and cheese waffles! And they make their own pickles! It was amazing and great food portions. It's worth every penny. Great place to create memories, and the ambiance is spectacular. Go here, you won't regret it.
This one has been on our list to try and for the love it did not disappoint!! WOW! The only “bad” thing was trying to decide what to order! I had the Southern Hospitality mimosa and he had the Tupelo Honey Margarita, we both had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Benedict (amazing and those potatoes!), and we finished off with the heavenly banana pudding and brown butter pecan pie. The food was all amazing, the service was top notch and we enjoyed it all sitting on the patio with beautiful weather. This place hit on every level and we will definitely be back to try the chicken and waffles!
If you’re looking for a good place to eat, this is it! For an appetizer we ordered the Pimento Cheese dip and I highly recommend this! We were talking about it for days after we age here! For dinner I ordered the Mac and Cheese Chicken and Waffles and it was delicious! Not only was the food delicious, the service was so good we left a 30% tip. The servers created a positive, upbeat environment to dine in with a general enthusiasm for their jobs. Not only that, but they were also extremely attentive. We will be going back!
Love the place and location is very cool. Absolutely love the decor and the patio allows dogs!! We got the pimento dip to start, it was very meh. Not bad but nothing special. I got the chicken and waffle and wow, I was pleasantly surprised. The waffle was soft and fluffy, the chicken was fried to perfection and seasoned very well! I put hot sauce in the syrup and it was perfect.
10th birthday brunch complete with complimentary banana pudding! I enjoyed the Bloody Mary and harvest bowl with grilled chicken. The pimento cheese appetizer was delicious and not too spicy. Also, don’t miss out on the biscuits. We had terrific service and a wonderful dining experience. Thank you!
I thought it was okay but my wife loved her chicken and waffles. She already wants to go back. I had the fried chicken and it was good but I want to try something else next time. The chicken tortilla soup but the best I ever had. The server was really nice and she forgot our appetizer but the manager still brought it out and at no charge. That was amazing customer service even when I didn't ask.
Been wanting to try Tupelo Honey for awhile now and was not disappointed! They have amazing mocktail and drink options. Would highly recommend the turmeric ginger tonic and lavender lemonade. The sriracha chicken and waffles dish was incredible! Can't wait to come back soon for brunch!
