Overhead staff talking that chips are 'mushy' and saw a new batch of chips being put into the fryer. I was expecting fresh & crispy chips, instead received 3 large portions of soggy chips that look they've been boiled and not deep fried. All 3 went to bin as not even dog would look at them. Worst £30 ever spent.
Been going here for a few years, always very good. When Joseph took over it’s been fantastic, fresh fish, warm welcome, great chips. Wouldn’t go to any other chippy!
Absolutely awful food! And £7.40 for just fish!!! Chips taste like they've been boiled and then fried. The people in there are rude! Will never be eating here again. Do your self a favour and go to crisp and fry in cross hands!
I have been to this chippy a few times.. The regular man that cooks is great also very friendly. Brilliant with his members of staff. A lady working there tonight was trying to tell him how to cook.. and she was also loud and talking over him aswel as another member of staff.. Think the lady who was trying to take over everything needs to stick to her part and leave other members of staff get on coz they do a good job..Food was lovely once again but would not have a rissol not for me.. oh well keep up the good work!! We will be back. ????
Always a great place to go. The owner is especially nice and polite and always thanks every customer as they leave the chippy. Food is also at a high standard, can't fault Tumble Chippy.
First time tonight. Been meaning to go for months - far better sized Cod and sauces than a certain chip shop in Crosshands & cheaper. Great service ???????????????????????????? ????????
Great quality chips. And the rissoles are so good.
Delicious. Fresh chips not the type that have been hanging around since lunchtime. I had the scampi and it was lovely, my husband had the chicken and mushroom pie and a carton of gravy. Believe me this man is hard to please but he could not fault it. Lovely staff and owner, very friendly, exceptionally clean and fresh. Keep up the good work you have all bases coverd you deserve an award xx
