Made reservations for a Friday lunch but didn't really need them. Restaurant on main floor of the Marriott and has a nice upscale atmosphere. The food was amazing. There are a lot of healthy options. We had the honey brussel sprouts starter and the Mediterranean nachos as well as the pesto shrimp and mozzarella pizza. The service was pretty slow and took a long time to get our initial drinks or to even order our food.
My friend moved to Virginia Beach and I went to visit. We decided to go to Tulu because she heard good things about it. First of all, the atmosphere of this place is so serene. I could be bias because I love being by the water. It’s very calming. The whole restaurant was a vibe.
Now, let’s get into the food! We planned to check out a few other spots so we decided to share a few items. We started with the Tulu Hummus Platter. The hummus and vegetables were nice and fresh and I just really enjoy pita bread as well. Next, we decided to try the pesto shrimp and mozzarella flatbread. This was also very fresh and delicious.
I will definitely be back and maybe even talked my friend into having a wedding event in this space because it was so nice!
Elle was awesome! She made us feel like she actually cared about our experience. Her recommendations were awesome. Would highly suggest this restaurant and hope to be back in the near future.
We came here for desert and ordered the lava cake. It was a small portion, but it was yummy! The service was amazing and everyone was very attentive. The atmosphere and the decor was beautiful!! I definitely want to come back for dinner or lunch. The location was very cool, right next to the beach. Parking is a little difficult to find, but there is a parking garage right next to the entryway of the area.
We visited this restaurant over the weekend and it was spectacular! From the atmosphere to the service and delicious food as well as cocktails, superb!
We asked for outdoor seating and sat along the side of the building. I asked if there was a better table available with a view and the (I guess manager) said she was trying to seat us as fast as she could but to bear with her and she would see what she could do.
She was AMAZING! She sat us at another table with a breathtaking view.
The wait staff was pleasant, our food and cocktails were scrumptious!

"The View" - let's just start and say it is amazing, I almost felt like I was "living aloha". Truly relaxing and calmed to my soul. Food was on par with other nicer beach restaurants, but with a emphasis on healthier alternatives. The appetizer, califlower bites, amazing, best I have ever had, and the ranch dip, next level! The filet mignon was super tender, maybe a sous vide with final grill marks, I'm not sure how they did that, but super juicy and tender. Thanks!
Enjoyed breakfast at Tulu Seaside Bar and Grill many times this summer. The atmosphere is off-the-charts-good due to the restaurant’s prime location and view of Virginia Beach. Almost every table has a view!
Service is friendly and nice. The food from the menu is good, but the breakfast buffet is lacking in the variety you would expect from a resort-style hotel. For example there is no omelet station, no pancakes, and worst of all, the waffles are self-serve stations. It’s the exact same self-serve station that are in many lower-end “highway-type” hotels.
During the morning breakfast rush on weekends (between 8:30-9:30) you can expect an long wait, somewhat overwhelmed staff, and frequent things such as plates and bowls missing from the buffet.
Arrive at the right time, order from the menu, and with many of the great seats you’ll definitely enjoy your breakfast!
We had breakfast, it was amazing! Recommend the eggs Benedict and the blueberry pomegranate mimosa!
