I brought my 2015 VW Jetta in to get my front brake pads replaced, I asked the mechanic for the total and he quoted me $175 which sounds reasonable and so I decided to get them done, I gave them the keys to my car and went to go grab a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant, 1 1/2 hours after I got back from lunch my car was ready for pick up and I was getting ready to pay the guy the quoted amount, but he now tells me my total is $260 which was a total shock to me, I refused to pay that amount and so he threatened to put a mechanic lien on my car. After we argued about the price, the mechanic reduced it down to $200 and so I paid it and left the shop mad that I got ripped off by this shady mechanic and will I am going to take my business elsewhere
