New to the area so thought we would try this out as fairly good ratings on Google.
Horrendous, tasteless.
The pork chow mein was covered in pepper, made it completely inedible. I even tried to drown the taste of pepper out with some sweet and sour sauce, still vile.
Prawn crackers didn’t taste like they had any seasoning, just like biting cardboard!
Tried covering that in sauce, again couldn’t eat it.
Salt and pepper chips, again no taste or seasoning and considering we expected that to be peppery, couldn’t even taste any!
The mini rolls were cold and dull.
Both myself and partner couldn’t even finish any dish, was gross.
Really wouldn’t ever recommend a place like this, if you can’t cook or serve decent food, don’t open a takeaway!
Will never return and both feel ripped off and hungry ????
Sadly seems to have gone very downhill from 4 oceans. Not sure why? Too busy maybe? Especially at weekends. 1hr 40min wait and was overcharged. So sad considering there aren't many options in Camborne for Chinese delivery. I think the food is ok to be fair, but the service is sadly disappointing.
Edit. Gave the benefit of the doubt once more after being told 1hr wait. Now 1hr 28mins and still not here...sorry unacceptable. And it will come cold.wouldnt accept this in a restaurant paying £35. By the way long standing customer.
Re edited. 1hr40mins, I told the driver I would not accept the order. Yes I will be banned I'm sure , but c'mon, this is no way to treat people. Not the drivers fault at all, which I told him. If you can't fulfil orders....be honest.
Made an order for delivery. Told it would be one hour to one and a half hours. After one and half hours no food. Called them and they said that they didn't know how much longer it would be.
I cancelled. Spoilt my birthday treat!
The food was delivered on time it was hot and amazing the staff were nice and I will be coming here again this is a good place to go I recommend this a lot!
I ordered by phone was told to pick up at 6.45, still had to wait another 1/2 hour in shop for my order, and when I got it home it was half cold and an item missing. Won't be going back.
Shockingly bad. Ended up in the dustbin. Noodles were so salty I’d rather have had a pint of sea water. Char sui pork was bland with watery sauce. The mixed platter to start was also worse than a microwave meal. The wondering dragon was not great the meats were all tough and chewy. Only the prawn crackers were worth keeping. Never again…….
Always use TSE house for Chinese. Have always loved their food and the delivery service you can’t fault, never longer than 30mins. This time however I was disappointed, I had a chow mein and the noodles were so salty. To the point inedible. I really hope this was a one time mis hap.
Visited while staying on a touring caravan site a few miles down the road. We have used this Chinese for 4 years now.
Food has always been of a good quality, good service, good portion sizes each time we have ordered.
Wouldn't hesitate to use when we are in the area.
