Nice to have a place to stop for gas and food in the middle of nowhere. They are remodeling, so they have a porta potty for a restroom. They do make things to order. Had grilled cheese sandwiches made on the spot. Staff is friendly. It is in a place called Newfoundland ( part of Sandy Hook, KY.
It was storming. We were on a road trip taking a scenic route through truly beautiful Elliott County. My elderly grandmother has to use the restroom frequently, so we came across this station and stopped. My grandmother and I entered during a downpour and asked where the restroom was. The lady said they didn't have one and instructed us to a port-a-potty on the other side of the parking lot. It was an emergency and she stated that they didn't even have an employee restroom. She had a sarcastic tone and annoyed demeanor. We traveled through the downpour, with my elderly grandmother who can hardly walk, to the port-a-potty only to discover that it has a 6 inch step up, and was placed on a decline in the parking lot and had about 4 inches of water directly in front of it. My grandmother had an accident as a result of not being able to step near or into this "facility". It looks like a fine store, and when pulling in I had every intention of spending money on snacks and drinks, but after such an interaction with the employee - stay away from this place. We're from a small community and normally people aren't this rude. Regardless of whether you need a restroom or not, the attitude of this employee is reason enough to go down the road and stop at Robo's. They were so awesome! Allowed us to use the restroom. We bought snacks and drinks and they even gave my grandmother a free slice of pizza! THAT'S how we know small community businesses to operate.

The hot food is excellent. Good variety in thier selection of goods for a small gas station. Some of the workers could be friendlier.
