You can tell the food is fresh as are the drinks, nice variety of apps/entrees/drinks and desserts.
Me and my girlfriend both found the bowls to be solid, nothing amazing, where this place really shined for us was the drinks and desserts.
We LOVED the coconut cold brew coffee and the giant chocolate chip cookie with cosmic bliss ice cream. The fresh juice my girlfriend got as well as the sparkling water I got were both pretty good as well.
Would recommend coming here.
Our waitress Aiesha(I think this was it, if not sorry!) was super friendly, attentive and all around awesome.
One of the great restaurants recently visited except drinks, and Vegetarians would love this place. We went as a group, and we were greeted and seated. It has an open kitchen concept where you can see the cooking.
Looking at the menu for appetizers, we were surprised that there are only one or two non-vegetarian items, and everything else is vegetarian. we ordered Brussel sprouts, hummus, Tina lettuce wrap. For the drinks, we went with pineapple spicy margarita. The appetizers were fantastic, especially the Brussels sprouts, which was one of the best appetizers. The tuna lettuce wrap was done perfectly, too.
The disappointing item in the overall was the pineapple spicy margarita. It was only a spicy margarita no pineapple in it of whatsoever. I would recommend them to change the name since it's misleading to the customers. All three who ordered the pineapple margarita, they're not happy.
Coming to the main course, I ordered salmon with potatoes. The salmon was just seasoned right and cooked to perfection. Overall, it is a great place to have good quality food, a nice environment, and friendly staff, except the drinks.
Sue was a great server!! She was super prompt and attentive. The menu was straight forward and had delicious and diverse options for food diets, which was great for my gluten allergy.
There was a GF key lime tart for dessert!! And the noodles were fantastic.
The food was very delicious. Unfortunately, the price for the portion size is way off. The size is very small and not enough for 1 person unless you add sides. The pizza is the cracker type crust, but the favor was delicious. The side of Mac and Cheese was not worth it and was dry and flavorless. The peanut pasta salad was odd and lacked depth in flavor as well. The sides were small bowls and about $8 each.
True Food Kitchen impresses every time. It truly is a seasonal scratch kitchen, and you can taste it in every bite. Definitely make a reservation because by noon on a Saturday the place is packed for weekend brunch. Highly recommend the roasted squash soup and the Korean noodle bowl with chicken. The glass noodles are amazing but the flavor with the mushrooms and bean sprouts are perfect. The hummus is massive and delicious - a great shared plate. For the smoked salmon lovers, get the smoked salmon toast. It’s large and the bread is so fresh. In the mood for something warm? Huevos rancheros are large and the perfect balance of flavors. Shout out to Katie who was amazing - attentive but didn’t push or rush. Thank you for a great meal with friends!
Most delicious food I've had in a long time! Fresh and amazing! Nice selection of vegan/vegetarian options. I tried this place for the 1st time yesterday and went back yet again today. I got the spagetti squash and mocha hazelnut latte and HAD to have it again! I realized today the latte didnt have mocha hazelnut in it the 1st time, it was only half full and only tasted of oat milk, I thought maybe it was just a subtly flavored drink, so I added sugar at home. But today my cup was filled to the top, darker and tasted very much like hazelnut/mocha, it was much sweeter, so I think someone forgot to add those. Especially since the cup was only half filled. I'm not mad about it though! My food made me happy, everyone makes mistakes! My fiance had the meatloaf and said it was outstanding! We also tried the butternut squash pizza...again...SO GOOD!
For health/safety reasons, I wanted to share an unfortunate experience at True Food Kitchen in KOP. Upon receiving raw (not “rare” but raw) steak, I asked if the meat could be cooked for another minute or two. I was told it was intended to be cooked that way, and I could purchase an additional steak if I wanted it to be cooked more thoroughly.
For such a high meal price, I was hoping for a little more care and attention to be paid towards the safety of the food.
Whenever I want a healthier option but a sit down restaurant, I come here! I recently tried the korean noodle bowl for the first time and loved the glass noodles. The chicken sausage pizza is always delicious.
Also, if you love Olipop as much as I do, they have them here. Extra point!
