This is my first time trying True Food Kitchen in Midtown Tampa, Florida. Not what I expected, but it turn out to be a good experience every now and then. You must try something new, and I'm glad I did. Our server Emily was very upbeat, professional courteous, and very attentive to our group
Highly recommend this place.
Great spot for friends and family and an easygoing lunch. Right in the middle of Midtown.
Bar is not full and the service was a little slow.
Food options are really well-rounded but a little skimpy for the price. The cauliflower was delicious. The Bison Sausage pizza was good but the crust was a little hard even for a thin crust, and something else was missing in the flavor so I asked for some ranch and it rounded it out very well.
Incredible healthy food that taste good after a long, hot day acute little park right next to it kind of loud music from around the mall area but the food and service was excellent. The taste was incredible!
Such a nice place! I enjoyed the food. The hummus starter was perfect. I could have just had that for lunch! Our server was very nice. The restaurant was extremely clean and a pretty atmosphere. Will be back!
We were 9 party group and we all loved it! Environment it’s super nice, place it’s pretty and spacious. the server was incredible. One they seat you they give you a small tomato soup on the house. I was in love with the menu, planty options for vegans, vegetarians or meat lovers. Food was tasty but healthy, definitely I would recommend this place. The whole tap with 6 or 7 drinks, 1 appetizer, 9 main courses was 225$ plus tip, completely afford for the quality of food! I wish they have one here in miami. I come to Tampa only for work.
Our first visit to TFK was in the ATL. We didn't realize it was a chain restaurant. I know, ugh to chain restaurants, but this one is actually worth it! W/ that said, we enjoyed our meals. We kind of did a tasting menu, meaning we chose a bunch of items, and took the left overs home. ???? Important to note I'm a pescatarian and my honey eats meat. The restaurant has quite a few vegetarian options, which was refreshing. My honey was somewhat willing to do a Meatless Monday. The restaurant wasn't too busy and very clean. Ok enough, now about the food. We ordered the edamame dumplings (NEVER disappoint) and the curry vegetable bowl (it does have a shellfish broth). The curry vegetable bowl was good, but under seasoned. We discussed and they probably make it this way for the masses. I can't wait to try it tomorrow to see if the flavor awakens. For our main courses: we got the house chopped salad w/ salmon added (nice piece of fish), the spaghetti squash casserole (REALLY yummy, but portion was way too small for $20 plus), and my honey got the OG burger w/ fingerling potatoes. I know, it was almost a Meatless Monday. Lol. He said the burger was awesome, and he would def. get it again. The fingerling potatoes were good, but again under seasoned. Unfortunately, this time my salad was really bland. I had to ask our server for salt and pepper, but again on a positive note it was a really good portion. I know y'all are thinking well you ordered a salad. BUT this salad has lettuce, farro, dates, cranberries, almonds, jícama, apple slices, havari cheese (small cubes), and a champagne vinaigrette. So not your ordinary house salad. I had to salt and pepper it several times. Our server, I forget her name (sorry, I'm awful w/ names), was ahhhhhmazing! She was informative, and very helpful. The ONLY thing we had to ask for was the salt and pepper. She really was on top of everything else! She's a keeper! We would have given a 5 star rating if the food would have been more flavorful. Ps...the spaghetti squash dish looks bigger than it was in the pic. Think appetizer portion, if you order it. ????
Food is consistently fresh and good. Never disappointed with food quality and I don’t feel bloated after eating a ton there.
Food takes a little longer to make, but still worth it. The manager Barry always makes it a good experience by coming to the table to check on things.
I love that they have plant-based options here, and they're delicious. I've had the vegan double cheeseburger with a kale salad (one of my favorite salads ever) as well as a bowl that good as well. All the appetizers, coffee drinks, and deserts I've had were also great. My 84 year old mother loved it as well.
