We had such a lovely stay at the Tru! We have stayed here a few times and always enjoy this hotel! Great location and close to everything! Comfortable beds and a beautiful lobby! Still looks brand new! The girl with the long red hair was extra kind to us and very accommodating.
As a higher level Hilton Honors member and having stayed at other Tru by Hilton locations prior to staying at this location, we had certain expectations walking through the door. On the surface the lobby and it's amenities look to be on par with what we'd expect. The similarities ended there. Our King NS room was considerably smaller than every other King NS room we've had at other Tru locations. The room here was tight, cramped and seemingly missing simple things like a microwave as we've had in our other Tru rooms. Being totally frank, this Tru location appears to have been another hotel brand either within the Hilton family of brands or an existing other branded hotel that purchased and renovated. Whatever the case may be, this was not up to the Tru standards that Hilton has displayed in other locations. What really turned us off to this location was finding obvious ketchup and mustard stains on the comforter. Gross. The lack of attention to detail by the hotel cleaning staff calls the cleanliness of the entire room into question. Thank you, no. We had a booking here for another trip to Detroit / Troy later this year. I've cancelled it and re-booked at another Hilton facility in the Detroit / Troy area. We will not stay here ever again.
Small rooms but at least the place was clean and quiet, staff I dealt with were friendly as well. Lobby was roomy. All in all a good place to stay. Free breakfast is like most hotels and was good.
Great service. Amazing staff. I had a great night sleep. Very comfortable beds and very clean room..I will definitely come back to this hotel. Also per friendly. This hotel was very easy to find and Staff goes out of the way to assist me at every occasion. Also hotel was very affordable compare to other hotels bearby

It's not a super fancy hotel. It's also not a trashy hotel.

We usually bring our own supplies but we live almost 2 hours away and we came down to Detroit for dinner and to meet friends but was too tired to drive back home. So we found this hotel for a reasonable price. This place is excellent, the only issue was that our body wash wasn't refilled as we went to shower. And as I stated earlier we didn't bring our supplies because we planned to drive back home. Breakfast was great as well. Other than the body wash not being refilled our experience was amazing. We plan to stay here each to we come to the Troy/Detroit area.
Amazing Property, executive business travel at a price anyone can afford… It has the look and feel of a high-end hotel while still being modern comfortable and inviting. The staff were amazing… If you have to stay in Troy, you need to stay here
Being a Diamond member I spend a lot of nights in a hotel. I have a deep appreciation for being treated with respect and pampered. .The staff here is just delightful. Great and friendly staff. Kudos to the General Mgr because they set the mood.
