Great Caribbean takeaway! I had food here the other day. We decided to go for the large chicken jerk and chicken stew. The food was superb. The portions were huge and we finished them so I can say it was good quality. I'd go again if I'm around Wolverhampton.
The food is fabulous traditional home cooking style Carribean food. Tasty and flavourful. Staff are friendly but as you'd expect fresh food there might be a wait. I'd advise ordering earlier on the phone then collecting later. Welcoming and vibrant energy.
The food here is lovely however it is let down by the miserable and rude staff. The prices change every time you go in and to top it off they charge you more than it states on the board. The waiting times is ridiculous, it takes 20-25 minutes for food that is already cooked and just needs heating up. I’ve been in numerous times and it’s always the same. Sick of the lack of service to be honest, think it’s time to find somewhere else.
The lady was absolutely rude. It’s like she is forced to serve me. No manners whatsoever I nearly walked out without my food because of the attitude. They are so slow in serving food. Make you wait ages and are rude on top of it. I the woman owns it she sometimes serves from the kitchen. You need to have cusotomer training coz your behaviour is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting.
It's been a long time since I've been to a Caribbean takeaway where I had to wait so long ! Takes ages to order and wait there like a lemon. I said no steam veg and paid for extra gravy. Got home. Steam veg. No extra gravy just what you would normally expect with jerk chicken. I had medium jerk which was a tiny amount of chicken especially seen as it's on the bone(which is fine) looked like a child's portion. I've been really ill for a long time so a small meal is enough for me, I l normally come back to it later on in the night. The fried chicken was drooling in grease. There are other places In wolves I will keep going back to. Only went because id driven there for my college lesson to be cancelled last minute. I found the lady really welcoming again considering some of the comments. Perhaps it was someone else on? She was the best part. Also think it's expensive for small portions. Perhaps they're different all the time from some of the comments saying the portions were large! Might try again in the future but not for the time being. Left feeling frustrated.
Curry mutton was tender and seasoned well ???? ????rice and peas where nice and soft was the steam veg. This is deffo one of the best carribean foods about proper nice yard food
Order 2 stew chickens and rice and peas and oxtail and rice and peas with 3 dumplings.
Got home no 3 dumplings, I live 20 miles away fromTroys, so we rang up to explain the dumplings where missing, the extremely unapologetic rude woman on the phone stated that, they were definitely put in there, i explained they most definitely are not to which the response was “ it’s only £1.50” it’s the principe not the price, food is usually good I’ve been there a few times now, however this is the last time I will be going there. I have now been off work with severe diarrhoea and I mean severe, had no sleep due to having the runs every 10 minutes, even water is going straight through me. Haven’t eaten since that meal from Troy’s as it comes straight out within 5 mins. I’m on day 4 now and stomach cramps got me curled up in bed.. lord ????????
