$25 + for a small portion of Food. Food was nasty. So freaking disappointing. I’m sorry. & why is there even bell peppers in my macaroni. I just wanted regular bake Mac & cheese yall gave me bell pepper Mac & cheese soup. I gave the food to my Dog! She don’t even like it! Thats not normal. Im promos it ain’t. I order a small oxtail in Fort Lauderdale $8 & got the same portion for $25. Never Ever Again! I was just trying to be spontaneous & not drive all the way into Fort Lauderdale. I’m sooo mad! Food is to expensive to be playing with na c’mon ????????????????
As much I like ordering the jerk chicken lunch special, the customer service SUCKS!!!!! I feel more like a person that's bothering them than a valued customer... the only time I positive energy in that place is when the pretty woman with glasses is NOT there, the other ladies and the man I very welcoming and pleasant but the light skin middle-age woman with the glasses has a stink at it doesn't need to be in the front or answering the calls 2024 will be the last year I do business with them.
on may 27, 2024 I called and ordered food at or about 3:40 pm and I must say the rudeness from cashier who answered the call was baffling to make matters worse when I got there around 3:58 pm another lady heard me talking to myself of how rude the cashier is she responded by saying she had the same experience and said she almost left her food by not picking it up but didnt want to hurt a fellow jamaican business so she came anyways to grab the food and she purchased a Jupina soda as well (you can verify your camera) she told me while walking out the door that shes not coming back to this establishment especially when theres alot of other restaurants to choose from, my advice to the business owner of tropical oasis the stigma that were the rudest people blah blah should not be upheld .. the woman whose working at your establishment is doing your business big harm maybe thats the owners mother or family member and feel as if she doesnt need to upheld any standard to keep her job .. the food is GOOD however the customer service is terrible WE MUST DO better I honestly will not go to this restaurant any longer but I wish you all take head to the rudeness thats impacting or will impact your establishment by this individual. God bless ????????
Ordered the Jerk Chicken fried rice, pepper shrimp, potato salad, and a large carrot juice. The food was great as usual. Service not overly friendly, and the parking can be akward when leaving. Food is definitely worth it though.
I have been coming here for about 5 years. Particularly for my quick breakfast meal - porridge. Warm, Creamy and truly delicious as is. It’s the perfect comfort food and fills you up. No need to add anything extra (like some do with oatmeal). I usually pick up a small which is $3, but my favorite is the cornmeal porridge so I like to splurge and get a large. You will not be disappointed! ????
The restaurant is located in a plaza along State Rd. 7 (441). Once inside, you'll see the take-out counter with a few seats for customers to sit and wait while the food is being prepared. To the left of the take-out counter, you go through a door and you are in the dining area where there are adequate table seating and a flat screen TV on the wall.
A friendly female employee came by our table and gave us each a menu. Within a few minutes, she returned and took our orders. My friend ordered curry goat while I ordered brown stew chicken. Both meals was served with rice & peas, steamed cabbage, and a fried plantain. About 5 or 6 minutes, the female brought out our food. Visually it looked delicious. Here's what I thought about my meal...
* The rice & peas was nicely cooked to a soft consistency, but it was a bit dry. I should have asked for some sauce on the side
* The brown stew chicken was tender and browned in a flavorful sauce
* The fried plantain was sweet. Wish I could have had two more
* The steamed cabbage had a crunchy texture and tasted bland. Needed a bit of salt
Wow the quantity was extremely small for the cost we paid. They have gone down. An entire piece of chicken is bone no meat should remove this and place something with meat.
I'm just gonna say it tastes as good as it looks. The staff is reliable, sometimes I'm running late for work and I put my order in over the phone and pick it up from there. They've never failed on my fave meal as far as quality and taste. I've been going to them for about 4 years and I cant find a bad review or complaint. Just great.
