Very good food. The dark chicken is delicious so is the cabbage and the rice and peas. I went here over 15 years ago and I think the owners have changed. They have vegan vegetarian options which look really delicious. They have Jamaican patties and I’ll be back. It’s a really good atmosphere great place to grab some lunch. The barbecue sauce is delicious. I added that onto my jerk chicken. You can get the jerk chicken with bone and or you can get it bone out which is different.
Today was my first time coming I’m from Atlanta but I’ve never been to tropical cuisine and it’s definitely worth a visit! When I came in everyone was so nice Latasha took my order she was super sweet and helpful! The menu has so many things to pick from I wasn’t sure what I wanted but she helped me decide and showed me some popular choices on the menu. I got the shrimp pasta with their homemade tropical sauce. Thee good down to the deserts was amazing!!! I love spicy so that fact that they had the option to make your pasta your level of spicy made this my new favorite place! I will definitely be back again!

Approaching the restaurant and looking at the outside, it looked very unimpressive and generic. I quickly found a spot in the huge shared parking lot. It looked like a few of the surrounding stores were shut down and abandoned. I waited for my friend to arrive, because he had been here before. He arrived and we entered. He advised that the indoor dining room was to the left and I could see they also had a counter, to the right, where you could place a takeout order. We seated ourselves in the dining room, which was pretty empty. The interior decor pretty much matched the outside look, very understated. Our server quickly came by to take our drink orders. I ordered a ginger beer. Then we quickly decided on our entrees. My friend ordered the boneless jerk chicken meal and I ordered the Curry Chicken Roti. I asked if the Roti was big enough for a full meal because I was also contemplating ordering the Curry Chicken meal. Our server explained it should be good enough portion. The food came out pretty quickly and my Roti was huge, more than enough for lunch. I started to dig in and It was “on point”. It was very tasty and seasoned well. My friend commented that his Jerk Chicken meal was also very very good. We were eating and chatting it up in the dining room and our server Santee continued to check on us to make sure everything was going well. He was very attentive throughout our visit and we were not being rushed out of the dining room. Overall, a good experience and I would return to try some other things on the menu. A couple side notes, when I left I had an oily taste in my mouth for a little bit. On a good note, when I heated up my Roti two days later, and it was just as good.
This my second time visiting this spot. It’s been there for years and easy to ride pass because it sit back in the cut, but don’t skip this hidden gem. Everything I ate was good. The chicken roti was huge but was missing a little of something (a kick or something) to tickle my taste buds. The Alfredo salmon pasta is a delicious choice. The Mac n cheese is good and my favorite was the stew whole red snapper. It was fresh and plenty. Worth the money and plenty of food for the cost. Service was friendly and fast. Not much going on inside but majority of people get it to go. And it was clean. Can’t wait to go back to try the roasted eggplant. And there are charging stations for electric cars available also
OMG!!! It’s so hard to find great seasoned vegetarian dishes. This is my new spot!! Delicious is an understatement!!!
Definitely my go to for roti and samosas! My oxtails were meaty. The cabbage was bland but not unfixable. Yams ????????. And the pineapple cake...????. O and I didnt take a picture of the homemade ginger beer. OMG! If you love ginger you'll love this drink! I've eaten from here a few times and highly recommend.
Not really what I expected. I ordered the curry chicken. I am from Delaware and work brought me in the area. I found this place on google and I wasnt too satisfied. The ladies at the front are nice and helpful but my food was basic. It was just chicken and curry powder. I didn't really taste any soul. It didnt have any carrots,potatoes like nothing was in the curry but chicken. I thought I was ordering Jamaican curry chicken not Indian curry chicken.The cabbage was soooo bland and crispy as if it was barely cooked.
I came to Tropical Cuisine today 1/13/2024 with some friends for the first time, the environment was nice the server Tushar was nice and Friendly the food was good I ordered brown stew chicken with brown rice and cabbage, I had ordered Mac n cheese on the side but the Mac n cheese was not my favorite it had a sweet taste and I’m not a fan of sweet Mac n cheese, besides that everything else was good would come back again.
