Basic but beautiful. If you want to get back to nature and back to yourself this is the place.
Beautiful old house with beautiful grounds. I've been staying here a few times a year for about 10 years with friends most of whom are members of an organisation that helps people who are seeking spiritual support. Trochrague House is run by a wonderful charity that is keen to help others who may be struggling with some aspects of life.
The accommodation is quite basic but clean and warm and costs are kept to a minimum.
Love the house and the grounds are picturesque. Thank you Jericho House for providing a safe haven.
Stayed here for 3days courtesy of S.A.H and I really enjoyed it. Brother Patrick was a great host and made us all feel very welcome. Would definitely go again ????

Great place to stay. I was there on a retreat. Basic accommodation but the peace and serenity in its surroundings are just what you want to get away from the noise of the city. Talking, sharing stories and made our own entertainment. No tv...no Wi-Fi...it was just what I needed. . brother Patrick who runs castle is so down to earth and a lovely man.
Have been coming here for the last 23 years and love it even more every time. So peaceful and relaxing. Brother Patrick does an outstanding job running the guest house along with the help of other volunteers ????????
No wifi, t.v and basic rooms, if you are looking for michelin star then look elsewhere as this is a basic beautiful place to be enjoyed by those who appreciate the beauty of the countryside and the simple things in life.
Also not to mention the lovely homecooked hearty meals with fresh produce sourced locally.
Trochrague is run on a budget by the jericho foundation and volunteers to provide people with a relaxing holiday ????

Situated in lovely gardens and very low cost
We booked the whole house 9 months in advance and they cancelled the booking 8 weeks before we were due to arrive which has cost us over £1000 in reparations for overseas visitors. The reason given was that they had double booked us with another organisation. Other than the name of that organisation, no other reasons were offered. As a small company, this expense is a challenge and I have found the way it was handled to be very un-spiritual. I am sure the place is lovely.
