Pretty good meal. I might be too picky, but the brisket could have been sliced a little thinner than 1/4". Also, my meal was served in an aluminum pan but missing that attractive checkered paper underneath to catch any excess oil from the French fries. I also prefer a bbq sauce in bottle vs. a small 2" container that you have to scoop out.
This is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Smoked meats are tasty, the BBQ sauces were awesome. To me, the "sweet" sauce had a bit more bite than the spicy sauce. I had lunch here with my father on a Wednesday. Was not busy at all. Super friendly service. Full bar with lots of selections. Place appeared clean. Parking in downtown Trinidad is kinda hit and miss but there is ample parking... but you might have to walk a little bit. If BBQ is your thing, give it a try.
Loved this place. I had the French dip. It was tasty, but the green chile cheese fries were so flavorful. They were the star of the show.
The building is beautiful, and the atmosphere feels like the old west.
Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food.
We enjoyed the food and the service. I recommend stopping by when you are in town.
Overall this place is worth a visit. I had the ribs and brisket. The brisket was really good. The ribs had a good flavor, but were really dried out. I thought the potato chips were really good. The atmosphere is amazing.
Had smoke dip sandwich, very good, dip was great not salty. Also had home made chips and queso, outstanding very thin and not heavy on salt, plus catfish nuggets
Had Sunday lunch while passing through town. Were seated immediately and order taken promptly. I had a brisket sandwich that I found lacked flavor. The fries were great. Wife had cheeseburger that she said was good. Also had fried pickles for appetizer, they were really good but too hot so had to let them cool. We weren’t offered any drink refills, in fact we waited about 15 minutes after we finished our meal just to get our bill so we could get back on the road. Had to get our own to go container for our leftover pickles. So my recommendation is give them a try but not when they are busy,
Came to have a bite with my brother in law and it did not disappoint!!! Bloody Mary was delicious and the catfish was perfect!!! Highly recommend!!!!
I like the atmosphere it’s warming from the start of amazing receptionist to the bar or even a loving night in a booth. It’s a real western bar b que joint but classy enough for a date night or a single men or women to enjoy the bar with great ppl and conversation now for the food if you’re into steaks or ribs even seafood with a vary of options I end up with the ribeye it was worth it cook to perfection and tase was rich nice size portion with a decent ticket price all in all I give them a 4.7 worth stopping in s
