I can't believe how disgusting food was. We ordered fish and chips and had to wait about 30 minutes instead of promised 5-10. But that's fine. Then we arrived home and opened boxes. OMG, box top was burned, fish was so much overcooked that coating wasn't edible and fish was ruined. We would go back to the shop but it was closed for break. Just to warn everyone who is fancying nice fish and chips, don't go there, save the money and hassle
Ordered two code and chips to take away, Cod was cooked fresh but on the small side for the cost. Chips were dry and not very appetising. Was only visiting for a weekend, but would not re-visit if in the area again.
Had cod and chips from here a few days ago.
I had the large cod and medium chips.
Cod. As far as large cods go I’d say this was, in my experience, medium-large.
The chips on the other hand were still plentiful for a medium portion.
Both the fish and chips were very acceptable.
Fair prices and I’ll be returning before I head off from the area.
Really good fish & chips, name is out of date I think as frontage just says “Fish & Chips”. Scampi is also good!
Food is amazing here. Highly recommend over pennington fish and chip shop you actually get decent chips and the batter is amazing.

Used to love this chippy. Best around. But lately the counter staff have changed along with the food. Chips aren’t as nice as they used to be and stopped ordering the fish ????????use to love the fish n chips.
Portion sizes have got smaller along with the higher prices. Still wouldn’t mind but gone downhill big time since Christmas.
Bring the old staff back. Was always always busy whatever time you stopped by. but now not really anytime.
Plz plz plz bring the old counter staff back
