Best KPortal Reviews
I've been to this Owners other restaurant in Jasper, but tonight was the first time at this location in Rockport. They had a nice little crowd, started coming in this evening, and a duo called VonHasty that performed from 6.-9 pm. It was their first time, also. I think the owner may start providing music over the weekends. I'm pretty sure we'll see a lot more of VonHasty! The food was delicious...???? Best Cajun food anywhere. The atmosphere is very interesting and inviting. I felt like I was at Mardi Gras, lol... But, seriously It was a very nice experience all the way around. It may have been my first time, but it will definitely not be my last... If you're in Rockport, you gotta stop in and give TréVione's a try. Find out for yourself, you won't be sorry!
The food was good and fresh. The young lady who greeted us and prepared our meals was super nice and very knowledgeable. I had the gumbo, which was great and very filling. I also tried the alligator tail bites, which were also delicious. Good price for good food.
Placed a go to order of the Cajun Chicken Tenders with fries and house made honey mustard and house made Cajun sauce. Big mozz stick fan so tried those as well. Food took roughly 30 minutes. Everything tasted excellent and was hot and crispy. Definitely good value for the food as well. The only thing I would change was the music and maybe open a window. It is very dark and quiet piano music was playing. The music was so quiet you could almost hear every conversation going on. I expected some kind of Jazz or New Orleans related. Overall great experience and will order there again.
It was a very pleasant experience the owners are friendly and very accommodating , I order the New Orleans fries which are chili cheese fries that had some spice but all in all were delicious and a good thing to try there! And they have stuff for kids like regular French fries and tenders if your child doesn’t want to try anything new and you could request for not so spicy food and they will try their best to make it as good without spice but I recommend not since the spice adds good flavor I believe.
Me and my family thought it would be a good idea to come to this place, boy were we wrong. We ordered a variety of things and the food was good, the service we got was disappointing. So as we go in there is a crying toddler running around, and it seemed like it was one of the workers baby judging on how they kept trying to get the baby to stop. Secondly, the server we had clearly didn’t get proper training, she seems like she was young but she did not have proper communication and she was not the most polite or enthusiastic about her job, she took forever to come wait on us even though they were not busy, maybe had one other table there, she finally came and asked what drinks we wanted then comes back almost 20 minutes later to get our food order. After we ordered I went to use the bathroom to wash up and the bathrooms are dirty and seemed like they have not been clean recently and properly. I come back and wait nearly 20 minutes and we still do not get our food yet, mind you they are not busy at all, we decided to call our server over and she says “were busy, the kitchen is working on the food soon” I moved on from that, then the food finally comes after ordering it almost 40 minutes ago, now the food was actually good, so I will say that but the atmosphere and service was substandard.
Read other negative reviews but had to try myself. We walked in and only 2 other tables seated. We ordered and started a timer to see for ourselves. After 35 minutes, I questioned them. Waitress said they just started our food and it would be another 15 minutes. I said I wanted to pay for our drinks because we had to leave and waitress said they have began our food. After I said we hadn't received any food to pay for, she said she would be right back. She came back within 4 minutes and had our food in to go boxes. I know they say they make people's food fresh, and our food was delicious, but it took way too long. If you go there, expect a very long wait even if only two or more tables are seated. Cut the time in half if only 1 table is seated.
The fries were great but the rest of the food was overly salty. The group of people I was with were unable to take more than a few bites of food due to being overly salted and inedible. The restaurant had little to no other people dining but we were very understanding when only 2 entrees were delivered to the table at a time.
The chef is very eager to please her customers and goes out of the way to accommodate those with dietary restrictions. The food is well seasoned, and the portions are very generous . Service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing. We look forward to our next visit.
