Not bad. Clean room. I felt safe. I don't usually stay in a motel, but my car broke down on the highway and I just made it to the Travelodge. This was the middle of the night and I was freaking out. Only after I left in the daylight did I realize I was on Alpine Ave. in Walker. I've driven by this place 100's of tmes.
Had to stay till I could find a better place to lay our heads. Staff comes off friendly but are crap starters. Always cops in the parking lot. Alot of drama from guest and employees. Disgusting rooms. Crappy internet. No breakfast like promised on website. They don't clean the rooms properly. Washes old shower curtains and reuse.
Furniture falling apart. NO microwaves, carpet, facial tissue, blanket, clock. Rms stunk - musty w/ smoke. Bed - sheet & thin bed spread only; lumpy & extreme soft. Tiny walk-in shower. The front desk people were helpful & friendly. NO GO!!
Positive: Awful awful!! Don¿t do it! NO INDOOR POOL OR HOT TUB! Everything was dirty snow blowing in under the door. Marijuana on the nightstands indicating it hadn¿t been even wiped between stays! Just don¿t risk your safety! Moved rooms and second ok. Negative: Nothing! Don¿t do it! Negative: ""
I called at 10am asked about checking in early and they asked what kind room and told me to give them 2hrs while rooms were checked out and cleaned..Based on that information I made an online reservation and got here 120pmNow being told rooms are not cleaned yet and check in is at 3pm..I wouldhave never made reservations if I had to check in at 3pm which is why I called at 10am before I paid.Cant cancel and get a refund. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
Bear in mind, this is an economy hotel, not a luxury one; you get what you pay for. I have stayed here twice. The bed was super comfortable, the heat worked, the shower was good (slightly low pressure). No bugs of any variety. Minor damage to bathroom door and lampshades from previous occupants. My only real complaint would be the electric outlets didn't work, which I will inform the front desk upon checkout. Overall, this is a very good cost effective place to stay.
When I laid my head down on the pillow I was hit with the very potent smell of a man’s arm pits. And not just musty it genuinely smelled like a man’s pits
This is my first time staying here and we will be here long term for work. For the price you at per week it’s well worth it. Quiet at night and early morning. Friendly staff and property caretakers. You’re right next to tons of fast food joints, gas stations and multiple grocery stores. The rooms are nice and clean and if you have any issues the staff is quick to fix the issue, or so I’ve noticed as we haven’t had any ourselves. Nice spacious parking lot. The pool isn’t able to be used but honestly for the amount you pay it’s not really an issue. Dog friendly, motel says dogs up to 25lbs are welcome but we’ve seen some well over the limit with no issue at all. I’m 100% happy with this quaint little motel and the location. I rated 4 stars on location simply because I hate how busy Alpine is and how dangerous of a road it can be to drive on. Other than that small issue this place is perfect ! Also the beds are so soft and comfortable, after living in my car for almost 2 years straight this bed was just what I needed to recuperate. The pillows are also so comfortable not to firm and not to soft.
