Upon entering the hotel to check in, I noticed the clean, pleasant fragrance. Checking in was quick and easy. I stayed in a in a pet friendly uncarpeted room that also smelled very nice, was very clean and in good repair. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the sheets and spread were clean. The desk and arm chairs were also clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and completely updated with high-end fixtures, flooring and towels. The shower was good and hot. The TV, mini-fridge, and microwave all worked well. The abundant continental breakfast included waffles, bread for toast, bagels, mini muffins, pastry, oatmeal, and 3 different cereals, milk, and juice. Coffee and tea were available 24/7. All the appropriate condiments and utensils were provided, and the furniture in the dining area appeared to be new.|This property is located on a busy highway and is nothing to look at. The building is in need of landscaping and is surrounded by well-worn pavement in need of resurfacing. I walked my dog across the side street in a grassy area that borders the welcome center and county fairgrounds. While I didn't fear for my safety, I used caution while outside and hesitated to reorganize the contents of my car in this rather exposed location. Despite the shortcomings of the property's exterior appearance and location, the manager and his wife are concerned with the comfort and safety of their guests and are actively engaged in making improvements after acquiring this property about a year ago. Overall, my dog and I spent 3 comfortable nights, and I would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it if you're looking for someplace clean with a hands-on manager.
The check-in was easy and courteous. The room was clean and quiet. Location was convenient to the highway. I walk, so it was kind of nice to have the fairgrounds next door to walk around. The property was updated, but looks a little older, and the window-type air conditioner was a little difficult to get the right temp. But overall, a good experience.
Didn't know where exactly we should stay while passing through Escanaba and we were glad we chose this place. Very kind and helpful staff. Very clean rooms with everything we needed. Decent little Continental Breakfast. Definitely recommend it!
The location was very convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. The black out blinds were AMAZING! The electric fireplace was super warm and gave the room a cozy feeling. The king bed was super comfortable, as were the pillows. The water pressure was awesome and the water was nice and hot! The ONLY complaint, is that the shower is not made for tall people. I'm 5'8" and I managed ok. But if you're taller, it might be a little awkward. Overall an excellent experience.
First the side door didn't work then the ice machine was broken the breakfast was about what most are very basic that is the only good thing I have to say we booked a room for two nights the first night no issues but the second day we had been out to a family event we came back and had only been back for maybe a half hour the manger called our room when my wife went down to see what was wrong she was told we had to check out because we had our two cats in our vehicle not in our room but in our car we never intended to bring them in. The manger was very rude and said we had violated the rules by having pets on the property which is no the paper my wife had signed the paper only stated that they were not allowed in the room.he then told us we would not receive a refund. This place is not worth your money.very surprised to check this kind of treatment from a Wyndham hotel.
I asked for a quiet room. The young man who calls himself Kumar must have thought it would be funny to put me next to young kids who stay up all night smoking drugs in their bathroom and coughing. Just got woken up by my dog freaking out. I see now why this property has such a low rating. The other reviews on here claiming that they have nice newly renovated rooms are probably the family who runs the places friends or family. If you have people living at a property full time like these kids are. At least tell them to be respectful of the people who are actually paying to stay at a place. If not expect to not make a profit running your business.
The staff at the TL were very warm and friendly. The room was clean and spacious for a single queen. The "Continental Breakfast" was MUCH better than I anticipated. Waffles, fresh cereal and an assortment of bagels, muffins and donuts were fresh and plentiful. The only drawback was that nothing was plugged in in my room (refrigerator, coffee maker, etc). It took me a while to manhandle the refrigerator out of its little cubby to get to the power cord, to feed it around the back and plug it in. Oh, and the bed was VERY firm. But other than those minor things my stay was very pleasant.
CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS - Checked in May 28th. Was asked if I had any dogs or pets multiple times and specifically said “No” Checked my credit card statement to see $60 charge after I had left. Called back and he said it was a pet charge. Agreed to refund, but this was a fraudulent charge.
