Dispatcher at Des Moines International airport Sunday was rude, argumentative and incompetent. When I commented that the arrow to “taxi” out the south door sent me in the wrong direction, she talked over me, threatened to take the cab I was getting into away, and said if she ever sees my face again, she will not give me a cab. Outrageous employee who should not be in a customer facing job. Deserves 0 stars.
Incompetent night shift dispatch and drivers. 2 of 3 trips were bad experiences. They called me 3 times 5 minutes after i asked them not to call repeatedly - 2 of 3 times.
Dispatcher may have been high. Repeated all information incorrectly. I had to ask for another person to make sure it was scheduled. Once, dispatch gave the driver the wrong address.
Immigrant drivers can't operate GPS, arrive very late, and drive like maniacs. American drivers are rude and once left immediately, leaving my teenager on the curb at 5AM. Had to call the company to bring them back.
Sadly, they are still the most reliable cab service in the city.... pathetic. Expect issues. Allow for 3x the expected travel time for them to figure out where you live and let you in the car if you want to be on time. It may be worth changing your schedule to take the bus.
I called this morning to get a cab from my auto shop to my work. When I called they told me they could have someone there in 15 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes, I called back and she stated that they still have my order, and that they are just very busy in the mornings. Then why did they tell me it would only be 15 minutes?!!! Another 20 minutes later, the cab finally showed up. Thankfully I have a forgiving employer, because I ended up being half an hour late to work. If I had known it would take that long, I would have made other arrangements, but they told me that it would take 15 minutes, not 50. I will say that the driver was polite and the car was clean. I was very satisfied with the ride itself, but very unimpressed with the lie about wait time and then excuse that mornings are busy. If that was the case why didn't they just tell me the first time I called???
If I could give these guys zero stars I would. Their customer service is horrible. They're constantly late. I've heard the same excuses multiple times. Apparently they have "special circumstances" that cause them to run very behind.... at least every other day. The cab/taxi drivers sit in their car and honk but never get out despite being told the client is deaf. I've even had a driver lie to my face and tell me he'd been waiting for me for over 15 minutes when my ring doorbell recording says otherwise. If you have ANY other options for rides USE IT. Don't let these guys waste your time.
I work for this company I drive a cab for them. They work with me always. I love being able to make my own hours and switch my schedule as needed within give time of course. Due to constant weather changes I've been I'll more so than I care to admit, however they are amazingly understanding. Any other company would have fired me by now, due to my many absences however Trans Iowa like I said is amazing. Yes the cab services raised the rates due to the increase in taxes set by legislation, the only thing we can do about that is to speak to of legislature and have the new tax be removed. With that being said I haven't found any better services out there, yes there is cheaper but not better. All of cab drivers I know are honest hard working men and women, dispatch and call takers a like. I will say it again this is an amazing company
I get my rides paid for by the state insurance to go to and from work. I set my rides up 2 days ago and I let them know at 10pm I was ready now. It's 130am still waiting here waiting for my ride home. 2nd night in a row if this is how you help people with disabilities, you might as well not.
We had a great ride to our destination. The driver was nice. My only problem was that we went about 10mph below the speed limit. We arrived at our destination and we had to go back to the bus to grab something. When we got there, we boarded the bus and it reeked of smoke. The driver had been smoking on the bus (even though its a non-smoking bus). Almost everything on the bus smelled like smoke after we got off the bus. Might have been a fluke thing but that kind of ruined the ride back.
I ordered a cab well in advance of my time sensitive ride. Called them right after said the cab will be there soon and made sure it would be within the hour and they guaranteed that it would. After about half an hour called them again and they decided that they would extend my wait time an hour "because they got busy" so turns out they don't respect the first come first serve just what will make them money!!!
