We had an incredibly tasty breakfast at the Trailhead Restaurant in Riverton, WY. We ordered the mountain man breakfast platter that included a side of biscuits and gravy. The platter of biscuits and gravy was huge. The waitress said the biscuits were made fresh daily. The gravy had sausage in it and it was delicious. Couldn't even eat 1/2 of it because of how much there was. The scrambled eggs were well done with cheese, as requested. Again, amazing! Tons of hashbrowns and the bacon was thick and perfectly cooked. The staff was very friendly and courtesy. This place is officially one of my favorite places when I travel to Riverton.
As I was eating my meal I overheard people trying to pay their checks and three of them were overcharged on their tickets. As I ordered I asked if I could have a salad instead of fries for my side. I got no fries, got a salad, and got charged for the salad bar. The cashier was no help and was not worried at all about listening to the customer.
The food was amazing and the waitresses were the best. Our stay in Riverton was under stressful circumstances and they were a beacon of light. Do not miss this place if you go to Riverton! The cost was so reasonable and the portion was abundant.
First off id like to start this review by saying our service was very good here, despite other reviews. Our server was very pleasant, attentive, and even chatted with us for a moment despite being busy.
The food, however, left much to be desired. I ordered the "special" which was a buffalo chicken wrap. I know better than to order anything too complicated at these types of places, and assumed it would be frozen/chicken tenders which can't really go wrong.. but somehow was mistaken.
My wrap was in a small, (stale) fajita sized burrito not intended to be used as a wrap. Because it couldn't be wrapped, it was simply folded in half like a taco and pinned with toothpicks. Ok, no problem if it tastes good.
Inside, I am not exaggerating here, we're 3 small Tyson Boneless Buffalo chicken wings.. ya know, the kind that are about 1". They were spaced out so much that every other bite of this tiny wrap was just lettuce and tomato. If you're going to make the world's laziest buffalo chicken wrap and put it on special, at least put more than 1 oz of chicken inside.
I'm a small woman, and I usually never finish my food. At this place, I ate all of my food and half of my boyfriend's club sandwich, because this wrap wasn't even big enough to satiate a toddler. I wouldn't pay $4.99 for this at a gas station. Enough said. Maybe the salad bar and soups are where it's at here, but for $16 and "one pass though" rules, doesn't really seem worth it.
Please buy better tortillas and stuff them with your oven baked Tyson chicken next time you offer buffalo chicken wraps :)
This place is very popular for lunch. No wait to get in but there was a await for our food. The food was great and the serve was pleasant. Just make sure your not in a hurry to get in and out. I would come back!
Breakfast served all day long. Just great and amazing customer service. We had to come back for dinner and it was even better. Sorry that I don't have the name of the servant but she was fast and great. Manager please let your crew know that we as customer see all their amazing job. And crew cooking amazing too. Let all know YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST... Thanks ????
Great small town locally owned restaurant. The service was awesome! I had the best hashbrowns I have ever had anywhere! I love a great breakfast and I'm sure if everything else is prepared like the breakfast I'm sure it's delicious also.
