This is a lovely place to stop for cake. They were closed when we went but they were kind enough to let us in to buy some takeaway cake and cold drinks. Really kind staff and the food is tasty!
Had yet another fantastic breakfast here. We always come when staying in Heptonstall. Great homemade food, plenty of veggie options and delicious homemade cakes! The garlic mushrooms were our favourite this time. Great atmosphere, we'll definitely be back soon! Thank you!
Cracking place. Really friendly too. My 2yr old daughter likes egg on toast, and they made it to perfection, she ate the whole lot. And their 'Manchester Cake' was lovely. We will be returning. Thanks for the great service.
Excellent cafe, looks small from the outside but is quite spacious inside. The food was really good, nice vegetarian selection and reasonable prices. Staff were great, liked the background music as well. All in all a lovely experience.
Wonderful tearoom; amazing food, friendly staff and lovely charm.
Can thoroughly recommend the mushroom soup served with a super-cheesy cheese toastie. We also had coffees, a Bailey's hot chocolate and a large slice of cheesecake (eaten before we photographed it..)
Looks small from the outside, but there's a bigger seating room inside through to the back. The toilet is in the corridor. You order from the till and food is brought to the table.
Fabulous place. An absolute gem after walking up from Hebden up The Buttress! Great service, great food as it is ALL fresh made. A lovely treat to meet Ted and Max. There is a dog who has come a long way in its life and now has found its happy family at last.

We made multiple visits to this friendly and nicely decorated tearoom during a recent stay in the gem of a village that is Heptonstall. We enjoyed tasty breakfast sandwiches on some mornings and on other visits tried a number of the absolutely delicious cakes and tray bakes (taking more away for treats on walks too). The ginger cheesecake is exceptional and the Biscof version not far behind, the tiffin similarly delicious. If we understood correctly, all the sweet treats are made by the owners, this perhaps explains the quality.
The staff were always friendly and welcoming making for an all-round lovely experience. Next time I'm sure we'll try something from the large range of take and cook at home meals too, they sound great! We are happy to heartily recommend this café.
