I forgot that I even visited this place 7 years ago when moving to Kansas and visiting for the first time in my life. My friend and I stopped by just to try it out and I know we were impressed and felt the hospitality offered by this small little town.
I do remember that the food we got was very good and were happy we came across this neat little restaurant.
This place for sure made my view of Kansas positive after the service we recieved.
Great traditional diner. Extremely pleasant and helpful waitress. Old, but clean and well kept interior. All American comfort food made when you order it. The "Star Burger" (burger/ham/bacon/cheese) was a good choice, served hot and fresh with tots, a little salad before and a little chocolate cake after, a drink, and all for $10.
Great little cafe! Got the special; roast beef with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, salad & a roll. Even included a piece of cake for dessert & all for only $8.75. Everything was delicious and tasted like good down home comfort food. Also had several pies to choose from for dessert. Waitress was polite and helpful. Definitely recommend if you’re passing through or even just as a short day trip get away from Wichita for a couple hours.
I love local restaurants! good food and friendly service. I had the pork sandwich with sweet potato fries.
Awesome homemade pies! I had strawberry rhubarb, and it was phenomenal! The fried okra was excellent as well.
Great pie,wonderful waitess,best cheese sandwich and Chilli. Cool Elvis decor.
This restaurant is what others try to imitate. A farm community and family sit down. Food was good and plenty 4 slices of thick ???? bacon. All for less than 10 dollars.
If you're on the road and need a bite to eat, it's definitely a good place to stop by and grab something :)
