Tower park is awesome, we’ve been going for 7 plus years. It’s greats for kids from toddler age all the up teenagers, they have 3 play sets the largest one is currently under construction and the one next to the basket and tennis court they redid like a year or so ago. The smaller playset is new and is by a lot baseball field in the back of the park. Has bathrooms at each play area and water fountains. Overall it’s a great park.
We looked up toddler parks near us and it said that Tower Park had a toddler specific park. Upon arrival we only seen basketball court, sand volleyball court, and a tiny park for older kids. When we made it to the side of the park that we wanted the toddler park was torn down. We were really sad and mad because we didn't see any signs or anything online saying the park was being torn down. My kids only enjoyed the sand at the volleyball court. The tiny park was covered in older kids who were not paying any attention to the smaller kids around them. The slides were too large for our kids and their were no baby swings. There were no bathrooms near. The only part we liked is that they had a swing for disabled children.
Three different playgrounds (main one under construction as of 03/2024), but we always have a great time. Also has multiple picnic shelters, tennis courts, basketball courts, Cornhole, baseball field, armory, walking/hiking trails through the woods, native garden and museum. Bathrooms at playgrounds, closed seasonally. Lots of great concerts in the amphitheater, and some other great events go on throughout the year.
Beautiful park. We visited for a Kentucky Symphony Orchestra performance and it was amazing! Clean restrooms and a nice community atmosphere.
Great hike, good amount of incline. Saw some beautiful deer super up close. Very well maintained trails.
It's a beautiful place to visit. I enjoy the history with this place. The play area for kids is perfect. It's a large open space they can run and play. It has alot of equipment to play on also. The houses in the back are beautiful and the view is amazing.
Always a pleasant, relaxing hike on the trails.
Dog friendly, so please pick up your dog's poop when you go.
Bring your own bags!
The tower itself is an interesting piece of the Fort Thomas history.
There's a playground here for children.
There's picnic areas.
A decent size basketball court.
There's a small amphitheater for concerts.
Great place for events like vendor days!
There's a museum here as well.
Overall very clean!
Pick up your trash, there's trash cans designated to keep the park clean!
On one of the trails you get to see some military ruins too!
(Trail closest to the tower)
I walk the trails here fairly often. A lot of them intersect so it's easy to switch if the one your on is too strenuous. Some have some pretty steep hills and if it's rained recently can be challenge. There is a large playground and an amphitheatre. It's nice to walk around if you don't want to walk the trails. Always lots of people and pets out spending a sunny day in the shade of a tree or at one of the shelters.
