Ate here on a lunch date with my wife. Their soups were really tasty and hearty. They came with crackers and a bread roll. My wife said she liked the soups better than Cafe Zupas! There is an ice cream shop to the left and a fast casual style restaurant with an impressive kids menu to the right! You order at the counter then take a pager that goes off when the food is ready. There is plenty of seating, and everything looked handicapped accessible. Our soups only took 5 minutes.
So yummy! Best Rueben I’ve had! Desserts were amazing too! Ice cream was big portions too.
It's a Deli at the Tower at Thanksgiving Point. We should be thankful for a Deli under the Tower or Thankful for the Tower where there's a Deli. I guess, the point I'm making is we ate at the Deli, the food was okay and was priced decently and we're in good portions unlike some delies in the valley.
We came here for some ice cream next to the restaurant and some food. The food at the restaurant was fresh and delicious, and we love getting the ice cream here. The service at the restaurant was great, the ice cream staff, not so much. Usually when we get ice cream they are a little flustered, but I get it because they are busting their butts trying to take orders and serve ice cream often as just one person. Well this time I walked up to order after another person walked away, so to me it seemed she had just taken an order. So I started ordering and realized maybe she needed to make the other persons order so I said “oh are you ready?” She just looked at me and said yes with an attitude. After ordering I realized I forgot to substitute the caramel for fudge, so I asked her if that was my cookie Sundae, she looked at me like I was an idiot and said ya it’s the cookie sundae. Then I said I wanted to sub it for fudge and pointed at what I thought was the fudge. She basically made me feel like I was an idiot for not knowing that what I was pointing at was hersheys chocolate, not fudge. I have never been treated so badly by a server before. I am not one to try to get someone in trouble but she was absolutely rude and needs to be trained better, or find a job she doesn’t hate as much. On the bright side, the deli servers were so nice and attentive. The service was fast and easy, and despite her attitude, we enjoyed our cookie sundae
I was pleasantly surprised that we didn't pay more at this place. It was about as much as a Happy Meal would be for each kid, but the food is better quality. I wish members received even more of a discount. That would be nice. My salad was great too. The ice cream shop next to the deli is so fun, and gives out large portions. My kids couldn't believe their eyes! I was shocked too. The price was very reasonable there too. I was surprised. Finally a nice financial surprise. They are so few and far between!
The food was good. The only problem was I came with my family and they called out our order and were missing a few items. When I went to get a fork, the fork weren't stocked. And some of the sodas weren't changed on the machine. I work food service and I just feel this place was either really short staffed or just lacking.
Out of ice, out of cups, drinks in cold case not cold and I haven’t even reviewed the food. $4 for the tiniest, thinnest lemon bar I’ve ever had. It was good at least. $40 for 3 kids and a BLT and lemon bar. The Mac and cheese tasted like water noodles that are colored orange. Disappointed to say the least!!!
I’d honestly expect more from the venue. Thanksgiving Point is a nice place to visit but they’ve always struggled with their food.
We visited as a family and stopped for lunch. We ordered some kids meals, a couple burgers and a turkey sandwich. The kids mac & cheese was terrible. It literally tasted like wet noodles (no cheese flavor). They were very helpful replacing it with some chicken strips that were much better. The burger was just ok. The turkey sandwich was ok but just ok.
The best part was the portion sizes. They gave a decent amount of food and everyone left with full stomachs.
