Hands down one of the best places for braids. I don't come regularly but when I do the ladies are always kind, quick, and on point with styles. First time for 2 big feed in braids and such a bright color!
Middle of the road quality braids:
My hair is short. Because of this, I had the ladies inspect my hair prior to committing. They informed me they could braid, but the braids would be tight.
In expecting tight braids, I moved ahead with the appointment. The braider was very distant and didn’t greet or speak to me. In fact, they all spoke their native tongue the duration of the appointment and seemed to argue over who would be braiding my hair.
At some points, the braider would gesture (with disgust) the back of my hair (the shortest part) in a manner that made me feel like she didn’t want to (or couldn’t) braid my hair. This was very off putting. I offered to not have them braid the shortest parts, but they proceeded and anchored the absolute heaviest of braids to my baby hairs. Mes tresses n'étaient pas proportionnées à mes cheveux! Yikes!
At the end of my service, the very rough handed stylists began to maneuver my braids causing incredible pain. I also noticed that the braider cut parts of my natural hair with scissors, of which I immediately stopped the appointment. C’est quoi ce bordel!
The owner intervened and took over the remainder of my appointment after I simply offered to pay and leave.
When I got home, I immediately removed the braids along my hairline, which were completely unnecessary. I would have surely loss my edges had I kept those braids. The rest of my hair is quite beautiful. Overall, my braids could have been 1/4 of the size with the same parting. They just seemed to be very lazy this time around.
I am visiting from a rural part of the country, and come here when I visit KC. If I return, I will only let the owner touch my hair. The two braiders I had were much too rough, careless and rude. Plus jamais! Dédaigneux et brutal.

She trimmed, with scissors, the entire left side of my hair. When she came to the right side, she cut parts of my natural hair. I know this because I picked up my curly ends that had fallen on my chest. That is when I asked her to stop, and the owner intervened. Additionally, lifting heavy, tight braids is careless - and wildly odd and painful to the client. If this needs to be explained, that is unfortunate.
HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEIR DOING. I sent her a picture of what I wanted and in the picture their clearly stitch braids. I get there and they tell me they don’t do stitch braids. Then they try to put a knot at the beginning of the braids. If you don’t know, putting knots at the beginning of cornrows on the hairline will rip your hair out and leave you with a bald spot. They were sitting up in the toilet because they were having toilet problems and thought that were going to touch my hair after not even washing their hands and only using hand sanitizer. I asked for stitch feed in braids and they couldn’t even do that. In the picture is what I asked for and they tried to give me these bulky ugly braids. Then they were in there talking stuff cause they don’t know what they’re doing. Just a bunch of judgmental bitter entitled aunties.
Reply- if you couldn’t do my hair because of the jam then y’all should’ve said said something from the beginning instead of wasting my time. If I’m a customer and the bathroom are public to customers then that bathroom had everything to do with me. I’m sure your “customers” haven’t experienced it like that and how y’all handled the situation and the unhygienic service or else y’all wouldn’t have them.
It is still early to give a review on the longevity of the braids just yet. My daughter got her hair braided yesterday and the ladies were very nice and helpful. As for the experience overall, my daughter said she would return here in the future depending on how the braids wear overtime. Today is only day 1 . She said she would definitely recommend this place. Will update on how long the braids last later .
I went to the salon to go braid my hair, and they left my hair to go run errands as I waited awkwardly and over paid for my hairstyle. It was braided in a hurry and too tight that white residue started coming out immediately..I’ve tried oiling it and it wouldn’t stop and my hair Never brings out residue..0/10 not to mention I had a lot of boils and injuries
I’m very pleased with my service even though it took longer than usual, the ladies took their time and made it look amazing. I don’t have a lot of hair and it’s very thin but the ladies made it look very full. I’m extremely happy
I’m very pleased with my service! The owner is so sweet- when my style wasn’t the correct way I wanted it, she went back and fixed it which turned out beautifully! Plus, she’s super fast which makes even better!
Two hundred for micro braids and they are Gorgeous.
