How does this place survive, God only knows.
You place an order, folks completely ignore you.
They do not just lack good customer service, they also haven't good manners.
It was straight in and out.
There is a clear pattern of behaviour juding by previous comments.

In no way can be described as a deli. Terrible service. We waited absolutely ages to be served. Hardly anything in the shop as it is. Bought an extremely overpriced and what turned out to be a very stale pie. Absolutely wouldn't return.
Stopped for a coffee (or should I say tried to) while out on my bike, stood at the counter for about 10 mins without any service, went thru to the 'pub' side, again, stood waiting - not even a "we'll be with you in a minute" - so I left. Woeful experience - wasn't even that busy it being early on a Wednesday. Won't bother trying again. ????????
Stayed in Torver for a few days over the New Year. When we got there we needed some milk so went to the Torver Deli. Friendly enough but a 4 pint gallon of regular supermarket milk (£1.65 normally nowadays as prices having gone up from the 0.99p last year) and a carton of Oat milk which is about the same came to £6.50! I understand it’s a bit remote and and they gotta make a bit of a profit but that’s taking the pish!! I was so shocked I just paid without even asking for a breakdown of prices. Fleeced us like one of the local Herdwick sheep…
We regularly travel through from Barrow to get our fix of Pies, AMAZING sausage rolls and Vanilla Slices, Picallili, Chutney and whatever else grabs us (ginger bread moonshine and apple pie vodka for example)
Staff are so friendly and if you ring in advance they will have everything packed ready to go.
Will be long term customers for sure.
Excellent breakfast butty and coffee. Waitress was not competent but was young and inexperienced.
Waited in shop this morning at 8am ringing bell for 10 minutes, still nobody came to serve me. when I returned at 10am I ordered bacon and egg roll £4.50. Was already overpriced the day before at £4.Also charging £2 for a can of juice????
Ignore the rubbish reviews. This place is a gem. Stopped whilst mountain biking in the area and yeah, it's not the quickest service and no it doesn't have as much stuff as Morrisons but it has just what a hungry biker needs. Great pies sandwiches, cakes and coffee. If you're in that much of a rush then you are holidaying in the wrong place! Great outdoor space to eat ( with a phonebox made into a fish tank) and the lady behind the counter was a star. As we were leaving she brought out a huge tub of ice for us to refresh our camelbacks.
Get yourselves there, it's brilliant.
