Fascinating lock with capstans used to open the gates. Has a lovely tea shop too. Worth a run out in the car to see for any one interested in canals. Lovely sunsets can be seen from here too.

Lovely place to moor your boat,Neil the lock keeper is a very helpful and knowledgable person you must go to the White Swan pub for a meal excellent food very well priced.
A nice place to stop while walking the canal. But the staff were a bit abrupt. But the homemade cakes were tasty.
Lovely place. Only criticism is the lock toilet: it could definitely do with some luck of paint and some brightening up.
Great little tea room,interesting to watch the boats going though the locks,good parking and a pub across the road
