I have visited Toriyen a way long time ago since I was a kid. Opened since 1986. Very old; the lady from Taiwan was very friendly speaks Mandarin & Japanese. The owner is friendly too. However the restaurant has changed recently reforming making it new such beautiful design. They serving sushi & ramen, tempura etc. Homemade dessert. I really like that. People must visit for the party event; I should visit Toriyen alone & with my mom for dinner. The atmosphere is great giving 5 stars. Keep the good work.

We had reservations for this restaurant, but glad we didn’t have to wait upon entering. Service was prompt and had friendly staff. Made us laugh several times.

(The only thing we did not care for was the Philadelphia roll- which I expected to only have avocado, salmon and Philly cream cheese. But interestingly was made different. Also their gyoza was fried instead of steamed). My suggestion is to ask for steam instead of frying.

Overall, our experience was good. Highly recommend ordering their yakisoba noodles. *The BEST yakisoba -in comparison to other restaurants.

Amazing little sushi joint with great atmosphere and fresh imported fish from Japan. The service was 5 star, sushi tasted fresh and delicious, and the waitress is an absolute gem. They have been a staple to the community and if you are in the area you should definitely stop by. My new favorite sushi spot.

First time today and will absolutely come here in the future! Amazing restaurant here in Sunland and I've lived here for about 6 years now! Call me crazy for never having come here yet lol but I appreciate the wonderful service and the quality food! Thank you so much for today!

Just finished having dinner here with my brother and mutual friend. This place is legit. The service is incredible, the people are super friendly, and the food is amazing. Their decor is amusing and apparently they have a live band the first Saturday of each month. If you're in Tujunga, do yourself a favor and check this place out. If you're not in Tujunga, do yourself a favor and make the trip to check this place out. Highest recommendation, incredible experience.

Food tastes fresh and good, very authentic. The owner was kind enough to sit (4 adults) us outside to accommodate our dog. The staff were very nice and happy to work there, which we appreciate. This place deserves 5 stars across the board.

Toriyen gets high-ratings not only for their great food (Choshu ramen was particularly awesome) and friendliness, but they were nice enough to let us in about 20mins before they closed (we weren't paying attention to time) and celebrated my lil' cousin's birthday in a seriously hilarious fashion.

Came by for some ramen and was pretty good. We got an order of the chasu ramen and a seafood on that had a spicy miso base. I also wanted to try the sushi so I got an order of yellowtail and salmon roe. The sushi was was good quality and portion size of the fish was very generous. The staff was very friendly. Great local place to eat and the quality of the sushi surpasses many of the bigger chain sushi joints. Will definitely come here again.
