This place is the best! Went somewhere else to get a check up on the ol vehicle , they were finding all sorts of stuff that needed work . Including windshield wipers, which i just replaced not 24 hours before. Took it to Robert at Top Notch and he found the real problems and fixed it all for a great price. Car is running better then ever.
Robert, the owner at Top Notch Auto has been taking care of my cars, my brother's car, and other friends cars. I now live in the suburbs but if I need anything done with my car I go back to Top Notch Auto. Believe me, I have tried the local shops and they are good people but for the money I pay it is always the best deal at Top Notch as his overhead costs are lower than many others. Believe me, his shop is ALWAYS busy but he works efficiently in moving the cars along and getting your car repaired as quickly as possible. I almost don't want to publish this as he is busy enough but if he gets more business he can always hire more staff and move to a bigger location! Try Top Notch Auto, you will not be disappointed! Top Notch is a very fitting name for this business. For the last ten years or so, I've received Top Notch service for my vehicle. It is very hard to find an honest person these days, yet alone a mechanic. Robert (owner and head mechanic at Top Notch) is very knowledgeable about all aspects of cars. Just by hearing a situation that you are having with your vehicle, Robert can make some intelligent hypothesis on what the problem could possibly be. He knows how to deliver the info about the situation as well. For example, when my aunt took in her Nissan Pathfinder to Top Notch because the check engine light was on. She was told that the problem was a sensor that needed to be replaced. Also, that it would only effect the gas mileage on the vehicle and would not effect anything else such as the safety of people in the car. Since she was going on a trip the following week to Wisconsin (a 4 hour trip), she opted to get the sensor replaced. But had it not been for the added information given by Top Notch Auto, she may have lost money because of bad gas mileage on the trip. I will never take my car to any other mechanic if I have a choice in the matter. P.S. I usually don't write reviews for anything. However, I felt that a review was definitely necessary for this particular business. It's the least that I can do for all of the honesty
Robert, the owner, is a seasoned mechanic who will fix only what is needed. His work is good, prices reasonable, and he's trustworthy. This is my "go-to" place for auto maintenance and repair.
Have you ever seen the tv show called House? It's about god super specialist and brilliant doctor that solves things that other docs can't. Robert is the "House" of cars. Other dealerships send him cars when they can't figure out the problem AND because he is so good and in it for the love of the game, he doesn't even advertise. The guy doesn't even have a sign and yet he is always busy. When I asked why, he told me that he wants to keep it manageable and fun for him- and his passion shows. Robert is extremely reasonably priced too AND I might add, saved my bacon when Nunos said I needed a new engine. Turned out the diagnosis was wrong and my taking the bus for three months was for NO REASON because I was misdiagnosed. Then one day I was on a walk and discovered this service center was here... I took it to Robert and it was fixed for $300! And as a result, I'll never forgive Nuno's and NEVER forget Robert.
