We had a party of 7 plus a baby for linner at 4 pm on Monday, 1/1/24. Austin was our server and he was wonderful!
I got the Choose Too - Soup and Salad ($11.99), with Matzo Ball Soup and Strawberry Citrus Salad. The soup was pretty good, with a generous amount of chicken. The salad was huge and so delicious.
I also tried the Reuben, sub turkey and cheddar cheese, and it was very good! It comes with 2 sides.
My father-in-law comes to this location literally 3 times a week, and for good reason! Their desserts are also really good—definitely recommend the desserts when you want to treat yourself!
It's a great place for comfort food. This all American style diner feels like a bougie Perkins. Their banana cream cake is popular. I'm a huge fan of their strawberry lemonade. The service is fast and friendly. It's becoming one of my favorite go to diners.
The only “nice” part about my experience was the waitress that sat us down, her smile was intoxicating. The food was awful. The bread wasn’t toasted. The waitress was slow forgot my drink, no mayonnaise one piece of bacon a quarter of an avocado one piece of cheese $57 for two people. The cake was dense. Sure flavor was there but even that wasn't done right….
This is definitely a one and done for me will never return.
FANTASTIC ! I had the half of shrimp salad and half of egg salad and I must say I was super impressed with the food , great flavor and fresh lettuce ,tomato and pickle to go with…. I also upgraded to the French fries and they were the best I’ve had in years……… My server was Taylor and she was very good at her job I’m so glad I stopped in …….
TooJay’s Deli always hits the spot! Whenever I’m craving a pastrami sandwich or anything else I’d get in a deli, I come here. They have excellent prices, good services, and consistently good food! Some of my go-to options are the Fried Pickles, Nova Latkes, Cheese Blintzes, Pastrami Burger, Corned Beef and Pastrami Sandwich with Cheese on Rye (with Mustard), and especially their Pastrami Hot Dogs! However, there are so many more great items from their menu and I am still in the process of trying it all. I just have to say that everything I’ve gotten from TooJay’s so far has been really good! And as I said, prices are awesome - their massive Pastrami Dogs were like $11 and you got 2 hot dogs, Cole slaw, pickle, and French fries for that price! Big enough to share between 2 people if you’re not that hungry! So yeah, if you’re looking for a great deli, look no further than here!
Had deliver earlier. Potato pancakes appetizer and other food. Delivery on time. Several potato cakes with only a very small cream cheese and applesauce containers. Cakes were extremely over done. I called the store. Was told that is the amount of cream cheese/ applesauce that comes with the order. It was enough for 3 cakes out of 8. No napkins, even though I asked for extra. I will never have delivery or pick up again from TooJays
I wasn't aware of the menu variety until my wife told me about it. They have alot of selections that other restaurants do not offer. I had the liver and onions and it was delicious. My wife had the fried cod and she loved it.If your looking for some nostalgic food this is the place for you.
I will definitely be returning and can't wait to order my next meal. Also the service was on point. Bravo Toojays. I think I found my new favorite restaurant...????
Great place, the portions are huge, the service was good, and I recommend the pastrami burger.
