A pure true great sandwich bar. This may be the best sandwich I've eaten in London. Simple, good quality ingredients, expertly assembled in generous portions for a great price. Absolute class, worth getting off the train at Anerley for!
Great little (tiny - seats three people, maybe) sandwich/breakfast bar of a type you rarely see any more. Very cheap by London standards: had a freshly prepared double burger with all the trimmings for £5.90 (most sandwiches are far cheaper). Had a good chat with the owner (Tony?). Will definitely be back.
Don't let the exterior fool you — this little "hole in the wall" deli is great value for money and the food is delicious! I had a simple roast chicken and cheese melt, which was a generous portion and tasty. The gentleman behind the counter was really nice to chat with too, as I ate my lunch. I'll be back again. The only downside is that they don't take card and seating is extremely limited. However, if you don't have cash you can go to the cash point at the nearby Co-op.
Generous portions, tasty and well made lunch food. Sandwiches, burgers and salads are all great, as is the homemade Apple crumble and other delicious deserts.
You can telephone ahead and the chef will have it ready for when you get there. The only issue is that they only take cash, but the walk to the cashpoint is minimal when compared to the great food and good portion size.
When into for the first time today, and loved it. Lovely generous portions, super tasty sandwich, affordable, and very warm welcoming environment. If you're about and fancy a sandwich, I couldn't recommend Tony's Lunchbox enough :)
Great sandwiches, all freshly made to order. Amazing value and very generous portion sizes. Definitely recommend.
Close to Anerly station, handy for the Overground. Very good takeaway for sandwiches and baguettes, all made to order on the spot, with a wide selection of fillings. Only 4 stars because parking is iffy.
Love the sandwiches from this place. I'm a regular customer and Eric the owner is a very welcoming and chatty proprietor
