Tony’s is like walking into a family party at your Nonna’s. The lounge has a couch and coffee table up against the bar and you feel like you’re home. The food is old school, solid, comfort Italian. The staff is fantastic. Each one is nicer and more attentive than the next. I’ve eaten here numerous times and the host is a quintessential gentleman. He pulls my chair out and waves my husband to his seat. The home made pastas are great. I have so many favorites that I just keep on coming back. It reminds me of the little restaurants in New York where you can just stay and eat and feel satiated. Delicious!
Excellent service I’d love to first point out. The food missed the mark for me. Had the chicken fettuccine that would had been a great dish if the pasta itself wasn’t from a box. I really wished it was freshly made. The lobster ravioli tasted a little off. It had a metallic taste to it. Just a tad disappointed. Would like to come back and give it another try.
This is my new favorite restaurant. Our server was so nice and attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the whole dinner. The escargot appetizer was delicious, as was my “Tonys Own Fettuccine”. The seafood in the pasta was so fresh and flavorful, and the cream sauce was unlike anything I have ever had before. The atmosphere is great for a date night and the prices are not bad at all. I love Tony????????❤️
Really good food. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we enjoyed the food. However, our waitress was not friendly nor attentive to our table. We shrugged it off as just her having bad customer service. I came back for a pick up order, because I really enjoyed the food. This time I stood at the entrance for literally 10 minutes as waitress after waitress, and Tony himself (the host) walked past me several times without even acknowledging me. I was ignored and walked past numerous times while others were seated and told it'll be just a minute. Although I enjoyed the food, I will not be returning simply because of the service.
Great local treasure with some of the best italian food in the city. Decades of experience shows from the service, the decor and the vibe. Slow down and enjoy this long time favorite. Part of the long-famous brewery district. Try the Tony Fettucine, ravioli lobster or even a caesar with chicken. Tiramisu was delicous too. More options: Lobster ravioli, Canneloni and Pesto scallops and tortellini. Recommended.
Its our first time dining here and we love it. The food is tasty and delicious. Dessert is perfectly made where its not overly sweet. Its such a pretty and relaxing place to dine in. We had a really nice server and a great experience dining here. We will have to come back.
Our recent dinner experience at Tony's left much to be desired. The service was subpar, with our server displaying incompetence in basic tasks like opening a wine bottle. Furthermore, spills from our pasta dish were left unattended on the floor, contributing to a messy dining environment. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the pace of service was extremely slow, leading to a premature finish of our wine before the entrees arrived.
Attempting to provide feedback to the owner proved disappointing, as he exhibited a dismissive and cocky attitude. While he offered complimentary dessert and a future bottle of wine as a gesture of goodwill, it wasn't enough to offset the overall disappointing experience.
One shining aspect was the service provided by Jen, who demonstrated professionalism and competence. If she were in a managerial or ownership role, the dining experience might have been vastly improved.
In summary, Tony's falls short of expectations due to poor service and a lackluster response to feedback. Unless significant improvements are made, I won't be returning anytime soon.
Very, very disappointed. We ate here while visiting from Florida after reading the reviews. It was a special night for us. I ordered the grouper special as it sounded so good. It was anything but! Grouper is a mild fish, this fish was dry and very fishy to the point I gagged. I literally took two bites and sent it back. They did not offer to replace it or offer any other food, I ended up eating my fiancés meal. When we got the check, they still charged $28 for a meal I did not eat. The waitress even told the owner, who did nothing!! I would expect way more for a $117 tab.
