Jerk chicken is absolutely amazing! Will be coming back for more... So I went back for more and was amazed again with how good this food is. The carrot cake was seriously the best piece of carrot ???????? cake in a long while. The Jamaican pineapple soda for the perfect sweetness to an amazing jerk chicken. Highly recommended. ????????????
This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered curry chicken and Jerk Pork. The chicken was really good. It just fell off the bone and was very tasty. The pork was outstanding. Great flavor, plenty of food, and just excellent. A great food experience. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.1.
Visiting from NY, stopped by for a quick bite. I was pleasantly surprised and will only come here in the future. Rice was perfect and oxtail fell off the bone. Flavor all the way through. Beef patties were seasoned well and had a good flake. Not sure where they get that carrot cake from but it was sooo good. Idk if Tony was the guy at the front but he was very welcoming to us. Real spot come check it out if you know
Update: The food here is excellent. The jerk chicken is absolutely amazing but if you can, order directly from the restaurant. Don't use doordash or any food delivery app. Tony's does a very poor job at interfacing with customers though the doordash app. They would run out of popular items but the doordash app would not reflect it and you'll end up not receiving what you order.
The beef pattie and oxtail are just okay but that jerk chicken is the best I ever had ever, anywhere.
Update: after trying other Caribbean/Jamaican restaurants through out the rest of my travels, I just wanted to come back and say Tony jerk chicken night be the best in the whole wide world. I was only here for a short while for school and I was ordering from Tony at least 2x a week.
I would visit Connecticut just to eat here. It's worth the travel.
I had not eaten Jamacian food in many years before coming to Tony's about a month ago. My first meal from there was jerk chicken and cabbage. The chicken fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. Spiced perfectly. The cabbage became a must-have at first bite. Since then, I have had dumplings, corn porridge, some baked goods, and the rice. Nothing will ever disappoint from there. Tony and his wife are so pleasant, it's always a great experience when I go in.
Ordered the large curry goat takeout. Flavor was good and was hot even after the 10 min drive back home. The menu posted online, however, is not accurate. The price of mine was $4 higher and the side dishes listed were no longer offered. They need to put some effort into customer service and updating their menu for people who are from out of town. I would recommend.
Authentic Caribbean food! The Oxtail and Jerk Chicken is to die for. I come here a few times a week. Been coming here for 8 years. Tony always hooks it up! I would love if the oxtail and jerk chicken were a little more spicy but you cant please everyone and if it were to spicy most people wouldn't eat it. If you have never had oxtail its time to give it a try!
