Really oily frozen chewy fish in fresh batter very small portion . Chips not edible, oil needs changed as do the potatoes sourced. Extremely oily, It was dreadful. Could only eat around the edges, looks not bad in pic but I'm putting all that in the bin and I'm not that picky.
This place is immaculate. You can see how much pride they take with hygiene and quality of food. Highly recommend.
Good range of various take away foods - always hot & fresh. Been again today 12/04/24 still superb, lovely fish (haddock) and gaawgeous chips! 5star.
This chip shop is the worst in the area. The prices are very high and the portions are tiny compared to everywhere else. Chips are always dark in colour and mushy, from old oil and the kebab meat is always undercooked. To make matters worst I recently ordered chips and Doner meat in a tray. No Salad! All the other shops always give some salad.When I questioned it I was told it comes with chips instead.????. Really. Last time I go to Tommy's.
Very oily fish, chips looked and tasted like 2 days old....... Total regret!!!!!!! Oh and fish wrapped in paper and chips in Styrofoam...... Why????
Some reviews claim the food is great.... Sad reality is it is not..... For those that do like it and think this is the right standard.... Please continue to fill your boots and continue to contribute to public spending...... For those with tastebuds..... Give it a miss.... Nice people at the shop however can't dispute the friendliness.
Maybe went on a bad day and only had sausages in batter but they were not good, dripping in oil and oil tasted very burnt like it was well overdue being, cannot recommend unfortunately. ????

I get food from here occasionally and it’s always good. However whilst waiting for my food I noticed that staff were dealing with cash and then touching food. No gloves were worn. Plus they were using the tongs to turn meat and the same tongs to turn the pita bread. In these times this is unacceptable.
