My wife and I had a delightful experience here. We ate out on the terrace which overlooks the open space between the restaurant location and the adjacent hotel. The service was fantastic. The servers were very knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients, and wine list, and were very polite, patient, and attentive. The foot was exquisite. My wife enjoyed a morel Tagliatelle and grilled artichokes. I enjoyed the tomato plum salad and branzino, both of which offered appealing, new taste combinations for me. For desert, I had the cheesecake, which my wife described as a "creme brulee" cheesecake. It was wonderful. This restaurant is definitely on the pricier side for those who are on a budget, but the price is worth the terrific food, ambiance, and service. A great destination for special occasions. NOTE: visitors should be warned that the valet (apparently not affiliated with the restaurant) only accepts cash (even though they advertise that they accept credit card). So make sure to bring ~$15 cash (which I rarely have on me) or you will be hunting for an ATM at the end of the night as we were forced to do.
Wow! Such a fantastic restaurant in one of the most beautiful locations in Beverly Hills. The vibe is extraordinarily serene and you'll really enjoy the atmosphere. Live music most nights, a grand dining room, and a beautiful terrace. The staff here is fantastic, a shout out to Patrick, our server, and everyone else. Enjoy the exquisite cocktails, wine selection, and the great food!
My first real meal since starting The Camp 6 Week Challenge was at @tommysbeverlyhills last night.
For starters I had the crudo with a passion fruit sauce garnished with radishes, and
jalepeno along with the avocado hummus made with peanut salsa, macha, sesame, soy, garlic and za'atar fru bread. The crudo looked absolutely beautiful, however unfortunately, the passion fruit sauce and seeds completely overpowered the delicate taste of the fish. As for the hummus, it also was presented beautifully taking the shape of an avocado, but flavor wise it was more like an avocado paste and had somewhat of a chipotle aftertaste to the peanut salsa which I didn't care for.
For the mains I had the 4oz Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu with Maitake mushrooms and a wild-caught Halibut with piccata, capers, lemon, white wine and butter. The mains were much better than the appetizers. The fish was moist, flakey and glistening inside with delightful flavor throughout. My wagyu was seared well and had a crisp crust with a perfect medium rare inside. I was very pleased with the entrées.
I’ve been to all of Vardans restaurants in LA and this one felt a bit uninspired. It missed flare. I did eat at the cafe thou. The artichokes were great and the Beets great. The hummus and salmon were bland and pedestrian as could be. The saving grace came in the form of their burnt cheesecake. One of this great chefs restaurants I have no interest in returning too yours truly and his work at 71 had greatness to it. A miss.
It is one of stunning cocktails I’ve had and the most popular one to feature crème de violette. The floral taste is very captivating, and in a true old-fashioned style. ???? I love the combination of sturdy base spirit from gin, maraschino tart cherry notes, efflorescence violets which amplified the botanicals (juniper, cardamom & lavender) tasting notes; citrusy and subtle acidity from lemon peel offers a fascinating layer of flavors that is surprisingly pleasing to my palate. Absolutely delightful drink to enjoy in such a marvelous atmosphere!???????????????????????? perfect pairing with any meals of the day.
Fabulous restaurant! Beautiful dining room. Delicious food! The squash blossoms were sublime! The Branzino was divine; do not be put off by the fact that it has dill in the sauce. It was SO delicious!!! It had the perfect balance of flavors that just melts in your mouth. The octopus was very different than any we have had before, and we were a little taken aback at the presentation, but was actually quite delicious when we got past the giant tentacle on the plate. The charred artichoke was a little undercooked to our taste. The wine list is extensive, and the mixed drinks were made with fresh sweet and sour and contained a generous pour. Our waiter, Winter, was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, friendly but not gushingly so, professional, charming, and easy on the eyes as well. ???? The new manager has a wealth of knowledge about the restaurant industry (he has a few Michelin stars under his belt) and was very interesting to talk to. The doorman is extremely dashing and dapper. The assistant waiter was helpful, attentive and professional as well. We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful evening and we WILL be back soon!
Lunch at Tommy's was so damn good that I can't wait to return for dinner. The service was excellent, the setting relaxing, and the food spectacular. The Avocado Hummus had a welcome bit of heat and was served with fresh tortilla chips, making this a perfect small plate for any time of the day. But the star of my meal was the Salmon, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented; no trace was left on my plate. Only five months old, Tommy's is a welcome addition to fine dining in Beverly Hills and Southern California.
Wasn't sure what to expect from this historic and lovely location in the heart of Beverly Hills. I was presently surprised by the creative and delicious food, as well as the well appointed wine list with many classic and excellent wine producers. I was most pleased with the friendly and accommodating service. This will definitely be in my regular special occasion rotation.
