We went in asking where Tom’s was located, and were met by Tom himself! The food was so fantastic - it couldn’t have been better if it were made by my own family. I had the lasagna and bread pudding. Both were unique recipes that had achieved perfection. It was the best bread pudding I’ve ever had. Tom was so charismatic and generous. I’d be a regular if I lived here.

Tom makes the absolute best, most flavorful oysters, Po' Boys, fried fish, gumbo, etouffee, and red beans and rice in South Florida. Hands down, this place can't be beat. The food is spicy and delicious, the service gracious, and the cost quite reasonable. If you haven't been, go!

We ate Tom’s Louisiana Kitchen food at Anchors Aweigh Dive Bar. The bar’s regulars were friendly. The beer was cold. The music was from the ‘70s. The food was amazing.

We people watched. Eventually we ordered. A dozen grilled oysters. Then, crayfish and crab etoufeé and shrimp jambalaya.

The bar patrons were all ordering Tom’s food, and inquiring about his ill waitress. the meal was a fundraiser for her. The chef, Tom, took orders, cooked, and served everyone. They ordered po boys until he ran out of bread. There was a French dip sandwich the men were raving about, and it turned out it was a debris sandwich. (A Louisiana secret). We ordered one to go, without the bread.

Everything was delicious. The oysters were fresh, tender and flavorful. The jambalaya was great: spicy, but not hot. My etoufeé was the best: full of crab, crawfish, and a rollercoaster of flavor. It was funny listening to the workmen-patrons moan that escargot wasn’t on the menu.

Tom does pop-ups all over, and his fans follow him, night after night. He does Wednesdays and Sundays in Boynton, so we’ll go see him there this month. He’s a big friendly guy, shaking hands and slapping backs.

Best Cajun I’ve had down here! Every time we go to see him, he’s got something new and creative he’s come up with and it’s ALWAYS outstanding!

So happy we passed a good time in Anchors Aweigh bar Deerfield Beach where Tom’s Louisiana Kitchen was featured. We devoured the huge muffuletta, bazillion layered lasagna, dressed oyster po boy & holy trinity gumbo. Best of all we got to meet the great Chef Tom. “Laissez les bon temps rouler”…Let the good times roll!

Great authentic Cajun food. The food is about as authentic Cajun as you can get. Amazing depth of flavor in the food and perfect balance with the seasonings. Jambalaya, gumbo, Po Boys-- all excellent!! Chef is a very personable and will happily talk food with you if he's not too busy. Situated in a great local brewery (NOBO), it's not to be missed.

Every now and then you get the good fortune of going to a restaurant where the chef is as passionate about the food as you are about eating and enjoying it. This is the place, Tom is a Master Chef and is totally dedicated to his craft. Give it a try, you won't be sorry!
