I expected a wait, but didn't expect that long of a wait. We were seated within 40 mins but had to wait another 50 before the cook showed up to cook our food. Which may have been worth it had the food been amazing, but most of it was too salty for us. We all enjoyed the veggies the most, but the noodles were way too salty. Kids were disappointed that they didn't have miso soup!
The cook did not disappoint in his entertainment. The kids were wowed by him.
Everytime I travel through Paducah, I love to stop at Tokyo Hibachi! Not only is the food delicious, but the employees do an amazing job! We never had to ask for anything, they were on point! We had a large group of 11 people and they treated us great! The food is so good you can hardly wait to come back for more!
Five of us celebrated my birthday at Tokyo Hibachi tonight. It was a wonderful experience due to superb food & great service. Our chef was Randall & not only did he do a great job cooking our food perfectly, he had a very pleasant personality & entertained us the whole time with his jovial attitude
He told us he loved his job & we could tell he did by his positive attitude. Our steaks were juicy & cooked perfectly, the shrimp & lobster were great, & the fried rice, salad, noodles & vegetables were outstanding. This dinner & service was worth every penny. We will return soon & ask for Randall. Our server was also excellent but I didn't get her name. She attended to our every need & request promptly & was very gracious to us!
We showed up unfairly late, about an hour to close, after a day of hiking and being stuck in insane traffic leaving the 2024 eclipse. It was me and my two boys, 5 and 11. The hostess did not seem upset about it at all, which was very refreshing. The server was super friendly and the cook did an amazing job. Both boys said it was the best food they had ever eaten, which is quite a feat. They can be very picky. The food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back even though it's an hour away from home.
Not nearly as good as it used to be. My scallops were slightly under cooked. The soup was less flavorful than expected. The noodles were basically tasteless.
Shrimp was overcooked and rubbery.
I usually love the white dipping sauce, but it definitely lacked the required horseradish.
Not planning on returning.
Very pricey compared to other hibachi restaurants. Salad, soup, and fried rice each cost extra individually, and the portions are disappointing for the added cost. The chef was friendly and talented.
The most polite employee was the waitress. Owner HORRIBLE! Chef BORING and he didn’t even attempt to re-cook food that was paid for when someone had a shell fish allergy. Lady with the bob was rude to customers. Basically told us we would not have a chef because we were at the bar ordering a drink. Food was DISGUSTING! WILL NEVER GO BACK!
So let me be fair by starting this review by saying the place is very nice! Seemed to look clean and all too and our server was kind… but that is about as far as it goes on my positive experience. I’ve been to 2 other Habachi places that were both similar to each other but this one is a bit different. For starters! The salad or soup is an additional charge and I was not pleased with whatever sauce they use it was not even eatable for me. Secondly the food gets cooked one item at a time so it does take much longer than your usual Habachi… and last… there is NO yum yum sauce!???? Idk how that even makes sense but Yeahh that fine exists here.
I’d say go somewhere else.
