A very typical non-Japanese operated Japanese restaurant! The foods portion is big, foods are quite tasty! The sushi rolls and takoyaki are delicious. However, the tempura is a bit overcooked! The waitress who served us is super friendly and very attentive!
How your food is greatly depends on who your hibachi chef is. I visited some months ago and the food was very good and the hibachi chef was very entertaining. This time I visited the chef was entertaining but the food was okay, it was salty and the chef added too much “butter” to the food. If you get a lunch special don’t forget to ask for your soup. The sushi rolls are nice and reasonably priced and the salads are also tasty.
I’m giving this place 2 stars because the food was very good but the atmosphere and my waitress was unsettling at best. When my waitress first approached me she said, “are you looking at all of our bad reviews?” I had no idea why she asked, I was literally just sending a quick text. The couple sitting behind me were giggling very loudly and were clearly on something. Then when I was finished eating the waitress said, “oh I wasn’t expecting you to eat so much!” ???? Don’t think I’ll be back…
The shrimp tempura is good for $10.The calamari and noodles are tasty and delicious.It is so entertaining to see the men cooking the food if sitting by the hibachi grill and seeing the fire.My brother loves hibachi places.I want to bring him to Tokyo cafe for his birthday.
My friends and I celebrated a birthday here. We sat at a Hibachi table. Food was delicious, drinks were good. Staff was attentive. Price was fair for the amount of food you receive. I would return .
We didn’t know what to expect going in but it was so good!! I used to work for an hibachi place and now I’m super picky with my sushi/ hibachi and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Everyone was extremely nice and attentive. The place felt clean and Food was amazing. Our hibachi chef was great too! Biggest rainbow roll I’ve ever had! Sushi was cheaper than the “menu” google posted. Definitely definitely recommend.
There wasn’t very many people there, so the service was wonderful. We loved our chef. We went for my daughter’s birthday and she had a great time.
First, our waitress was extremely rude! Forgot our salads and soup. When the hibachi was cooked and the chef left she immediately came over asking “are yall ready for your checks and Togo boxes?” Second, when we were packing up we asked for more yum yum and she threw it on the table. Third, while we were packing up we see a HUGE ROACH crawl across the floor next to us! I alert another waitress and she comes over seemingly unsurprised and stomps it and kicks it into the other hibachi area and says “I’ll get that later”. My husband went and spoke to management and we got a refund thankfully but absolutely insane and we will not return
