I would give a 6 star if I could. This place went above and beyond. I came in with a list of stuff needing repaired and they fixed everything I asked. I don't know much about vehicle repairs but they made sure it was safe to drive (which it wasn't prior) and that's what matters most. They also informed me in a way I understood what the issues were and not just babbled expecting me to understand what they are talking about. I also came in with a time restriction and they got me on the road sooner than anticipated so now I can take my niece and nephews trick or treating in Ohio ???? they are very excited as am I. I'm very thankful and grateful. Thank you Todd's!
A coworker recommended Todd’s. Reasonably priced and very fast service. Bought four new Dualers for my Silverado, had the front and rear end alignment done and the oil changed. Customer service was courteous and professional. Even though Prophetstown is very far out of the way, I will go back.
Todd was out of town and couldn’t help my daughter who had tire issues on a long trip, BUT he texted me 2 hours later when he got back in town to see if he could still help. THAT is personal service that one would never expect. I’ll probably never need his assistance, but I’d recommend him 100% to anyone.
So I got my tires done there end of 2017. I just had my breaks done and another maintenance job that can only be done by a dealership. I took my car to my brothers dealership and he works as a service writer. He also did 2 years at UTI. He has worked at this dealership for a few years. Worked at where I bought my car for over 5 years.
My brother told me that Todd's put the wrong weights on my tires and caused them the shaking I have and caused major wear. So when I say the wrong weights I mean they have ones meant for steel and ones for aluminum alloy. They used steel weights on my aluminum. They took weights that are meant for the outer side and put them on the inside. They also over weighted them. Todd himself told me that none of that matters. That the weight didn't fall off so there isn't an issue. I have between 2-4 tread left and Todd said that I still have over 10,000 miles left if I wore them down like my first set. The ones that were originally put on the car and only were meant to last 25,000 miles. I drove them to 44,000. I was endangering myself by doing that. Todd suggests I do it again. He said he did nothing wrong because the weights didn't fall off. He just kept repeating that.
He said he doesn't do the mount and balance according to the dealer specs. I asked him if it was right if I had him in as my passenger, and I drove 25 miles over the speed limit and drove how I wanted and said well you didn't die is that right he said no. But said it's totally different. I said no it's not you are just making an excuse. And I told him that isn't ethically or morally correct.
He said because I took my car for oil changes and tire rotations to Walmart they could have changed the weights and placement. I never paid more for than anything I asked for at Walmart, yet Todd thinks that for "free" (guys who make min wage are going to do something for free?) would have changed the weights. He also never aligned my vehicle because I got cheap tires so he assumed I wouldn't pay for an alignment. He said he doesn't do them unless someone asks. I was taught you always get an alignment when you get a new set of 4 tires.
I had just got a new tire from him this March and that is already worn down to 6. I told him I'll never be back and he said good. I also told him none of my family will be back. How dare you say nothing was done wrong because the weight didn't come off. He brought up how it isn't relevant. How it is not relevant? I'm so angry.
Have done buisness here for years, they have done a great job on everything they repaired for me. Wrecker service is fast and less expensive than most. Would recommend to anyone!
Very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to get me in and out in a couple days which was awesome considering how busy they were.
Great auto mechanic. Gets repairs done quickly. 4 stars only because it seems a little pricey.
I took both of my vehicles in for new tires, and they where done in a timely manner. Very reasonable also.
