Best KPortal Reviews

Reviews brought us in on our way from Florida to Minnesota. It is an older building with dated decor but the parking lot was adequate for our truck and trailer. The service was prompt and friendly enough and the food, although the buffet had few options, was very tasty. Left full and content. Prices were good. If you order from the menu there are many more options. Worth the stop.
Excellent service, good food, a routine stop for me. Breakfast buffet on Friday and Saturday morning til noon is always good.
It's real friendly and kind thay make you feel welcome the food is great thay have a great nuffet breakfast on Friday and Saturday and lunch buffet Monday thur Friday's.
Formerly Skin Head's, Breakfast House of the South where I was for 9/11/2001, the place holds a peculiar charm and a decent homestyle meal - breakfast and lunch.
Ok. This place was awesome. Best breakfast I've had in a while. I ordered a "special breakfast platter" that wasn't in their menu, something I get back home in North Carolina at my favorite restaurant. The waitress took the order without fussing and said they could make anything I wanted as long as they had the ingredients. Minutes later she brought the breakfast platter and it was even better than I get it back home. When the check came, instead of charging me for individual items to create my special breakfast platter the waitress substituted mine for one that was close on the menu and charged me a reasonably low price of $7.95. I was amazed at the check total of $9.10 for my special order breakfast platter and coffee. The breakfast menu is what I consider to be a "traditional country style" breakfast. The restaurant send to be a "local hangout", it seemed like a lot of regulars were in there for breakfast, because everyone was talking to each other as they came in the door and knew each other's name. The waitress called out to each person as they came in by first name greeting them. I'm going back this afternoon for BBQ. I just hope it's as good as the breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a relaxing atmosphere (nothing fancy, just down home family owned).
My neighbors own this and she is a great cook. I love the Saturday breakfast buffet
Very limited buffet. Chicken was ok. BBQ is good. Cornbread and roll were very dry. Veggies consisted of corn, beans, mashed potato and sauerkraut. Dessert was chocolate or coconut pie. Saw several people pass on it. Not very good. Decent price.
Gave them a rare five stars. Not because it's fancy, but because of quality, flavor, excellent value, and old fashioned service. I got the breakfast buffet and it was incredible. This is just a mom and pop type place. It's old....yes...but it is clean and friendly. Give them a shot.
