I only stopped in for a second to grab a few tacos because I was in a hurry. They told me to sit down while I waited and tried to give me chips and salsa. It didn't feel right to get them since I wasn't staying, but after trying the tacos and salsa verde, I wish I had! The al pastor and chorizo were perfect with fresh ingredients. The salsa verde was the best I've ever had in my life- fantastic spice and flavor! I will certainly be back to try many things on the menu. Highly recommended!

Everything tasted old & like moth balls. Sauce they bring with chips is way to watery & hot. As soon as we walked in we was met with a attitude by one of the female waitress. Our waiter was nice tho. Even the margarita tasted old & funny
We literally just came back from the restaurant wanna tell you it was 10 out of 10 from The moment you walk in the door you are greater with great customer servicen!!! The food and that atmosphere was 100% on point!!! The quickness of the service getting the food out to the tables is outstanding!!! Don’t think about it just go!!! And best of all is family friendly!!!Highly recommend if your looking for a new place to try and change up your choice in restaurants this is the one to try !!! Highly recommend 10/10✅
This place is our go to Mexican restaurant. Great portion sizes and delicious food. I almost don't want to leave a review because I want this place all to myself. I wish they had 2 locations.
Authentic Mexican fare. Even the environment is authentic.
Warm flavors with fresh ingredients.
Flavorful but not overpowering spices. Nice balance. Lots of choices and sauces- green sauce, red sauce etc. The menu must be 20 pages long.
All the positive indicators were there. A full restaurant, and a full parking lot. Many of the patrons were Hispanic which tells me that the food must be fairly authentic.
This is not a fancy place, but comfortable and festive. It has that crowded, I've been here a while kind of feel to it.
I loved the servers and the staff. They were bustling around full of energy and smiles.
This is very convenient as well. It's just off the Chase Street exit. The bright colored building stands out. There's plenty of parking in the adjacent parking lot slightly up the hill.
If you want to look like you're a regular then use the middle door. If you want to look like a newbie, try the other doors!
Good food in a nice comfortable environment. It's not fancy! But it's good!
Hands down best Mexican restaurant in Athens. Their mango margarita is the greatest flavor on the menu. If you want to try something new, just order the Molcajetazo (see description below):
Big stone bowl. Bowl of salsa, grilled chicken, pork rib, Mexican sausage, grilled shrimp, nopal, jalapeno, onions, and fried cheese quesadilla. Served with rice, beans, and salad. (Handmade tortillas).
Listen... this bowl is OUTSTANDING! It has such a great variety of different meats, veggies, and even fried quesadillas. What I love most is you can order the regular size bowl and it will feed two people and the food will stay warm while you eat. If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out!
Can't complain about anything about my experience here. They've figured out how to maximize efficiency and make sure everyone always gets what they need. I had my food within 10 minutes of entering the building, and literally, 5 different people were taking care of me. Felt like a red carpet experience even during lunchtime rush. Good tacos, ice cold glass for the beer, bunch of hot sauces to pick from, chips and dip, friendly people.
