Absolutely the best food and service!!! Louis was amazing and made our experience even better! We will definitely be back, often! Drove 45 min to get there and try it out and cannot wait to go back! Our new favorite hidden gem in Plainfield!
Outstanding from start to finish. The servers were very friendly and there when you needed something. The chef came out to introduce himself as our order was brought out. The food was amazing and full of flavor. Will definitely be going back!
Service was a little slow but I'll cut them slack as it was very busy. This place is nice and very good food. A little more "upscale" than other mex restaurants and will do well I think in the new downtown district of Plainfield. 2 issues. I loved the window treatments in the front but def need them on the side too by the bar so we don't have to stare at the neighbors garbage cans....def could use faster service. Our waitress was nice but it was too busy for just her! We will try again in a couple months. But for delicious Mexican food and drinks def try this!
The food was ok, the service didn’t get much better. It’s priced higher than others in the area but the ambiance reflects the pricing.
It’s decorated nicely and has a good feel to it.
Our experience wasn’t bad and it wasn’t great. As with any new restaurant, they have things to workout.
I would recommend to go there and try it out for your self then decide if you’d make it back there.
These dishes are from multiple visits. Haven't had a bad thing yet!! We love the ceviche, especially the one with kiwi and spicy habanero sauce. Love the salsa choices. This place is a new gem in Plainfield!
We had the best dinning experience. Plainfield was in such a need for a restaurant like this. Mayela was our server. We really enjoyed all of our plates. Best Molcajete, quesa birria, Aztec queso fundido, Alambre and our drinks Sandria which transported me to Spain, my teenager loved the Horchata. For desserts perfection guava cheese cake and churros not to sweet just perfect tasted like home. Not from a box. Atmosphere very elegant and clean.
We visited on their second day of business and had an excellent experience. The food was delivered quickly and the servers were attentive. We ordered a kids taco, street tacos (chicken—no cilantro), thalupas lokas, and an app of Aztec queso fundido.
The kids taco (not pictured) was enough food for a small toddler, but not enough for an older kid with a big appetite, so keep that in mind when ordering for a kid. Our son had zero complaints on the taste and kept asking if we could come back.
The chicken tacos were the best street style chicken tacos I’ve had. They weren’t dry which is the case for most street style tacos at other establishments.
The thalupas were fine.
The queso fundido was a great appetizer for the three of us.
Overall, we loved our visit. We will definitely be back. This is a great “upscale” Mexican restaurant that is a nice addition to Plainfield.
Service was great! Mauricio was so fun as our server! I had the Yucatán Ceviche. Very tasty!! I had a margarita. It was good but small for the price. So I switched to a sangria for more bang for my buck! This place is definitely higher end than others in Plainfield, but it is across from the new performing arts center so that will be a plus for them!
I will be back but won’t be my “go to” only because I am cheap. ????????. It’s not your typical Mexican restaurant.
