Surprisingly great food in a little short drop off 70W. We had the mushroom Swiss burger special and it was fabulous! So worth stopping for and we enjoyed the company of the owner as well!
My wife and I stopped in on a Monday afternoon and had onion rings with a patty melt and a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was great and the patty melt was even better! It’s been a long time since I’ve had onion rings as good as the ones served here. Friendly, attentive service and the atmosphere was great! They have a canoe hanging over the bar (named “Aquaholic”), darts, pool, and shuffleboard. There was no sign on I-70, but it’s just off of exit 199 on the south side of the highway. We HIGHLY recommend this place!
Wonderful food and cold beer. Hungry, but not sure what to get, the appitisor platter is amazing. But warning bring a lot of friends because it is huge, but it has a great variety.
Good place to eat very clean an very friendly service definitely will be going back many times
Love this little sweet spot. Close to Lake Wilson. Great service! Cold beer! Great food! The owner is Fantastic! Friendly with good conversation if you're just in for a drink! Looking forward to the next visit to the Tipsy Bull!
We were there nearly two hours waiting for food. Our apps came right before we left. When we asked the server she said it would probably be another 20-30 minutes for the rest of the food. We declined and promptly left. It wasn't that busy, the server was keeping up as much as she could. There were 2-3 guys in the kitchen too. All food appeared to come from frozen bags and go directly to the fryer. A local told us that this (the awful wait times) has been normal since the ownership changed hands and they apologized. The local apologized, not the restaurant. If you're wanting a decent place after a lake day, avoid the Tipsy Bull at all costs.
Fun little bar and grill in Dorrance KS! Has a bigger crowd than you might expect when you drive by and the interior is put together nicely. Just know your food and drink options are going to be very limited. When I was in there, they only had beer and things like Mike's drink variations. The food is going to be mostly fried apps and sandwiches. The mozzarella sticks werent too bad but marinara isn't an option so I dipped in ranch. The part about the food that was disappointing is the breading. I had a chicken fried steak sandwich and my wife had chicken strips. When they came out you could tell the oil had not been changed out in a while as the color of both were a very dingy brown instead of golden brown.
It is a fun atmosphere and I recommend popping in for a beer and conversation.
Very clean, great service, awesome food. We ordered burgers, corn dog, fries and tater tots and everything was delicious. Very close to I-70 so if you're driving through, check them out on your travels :)
