The restaurant was nice but felt plain. The food was just okay, nothing that we were crazy over. Our server was great and the entire staff was on top of their game. This was just a very okay experience, wouldn’t care to come back here unfortunately.
My in-laws recommended this place. And I'm so glad they did. We have season tickets to LSU softball and basketball. And eat out often. I was caught off guard when we walked in. And no one was around to seat us. When she finally showed up, she said, "Can I help you?" But our waitress was super sweet. The food is really good. I can't wait to go back.

Amazing dinner! Paul was a great server. Very attentive service. Starting from the chips and salsa all the way through the delicious combo dinner everything was perfect.
Went on a Tuesday during happy hour. $3 tacos for taco Tuesday and 2 for 1 margs 4-7. Tacos were amazing as was the white queso. Margaritas were great. Definitely worth every penny tequila and taste wise. Even had to get the second one to-go. Bartenders and other staff we encountered were all very friendly and attentive. Great vibes all around. Probably my new fav place for happy hour and tacos.
Get your happy hour on at Tio Javi's! Their margaritas are half price and pure bliss, especially the mango and sangria swirl flavors. Warm chips are served at the perfect thickness for dunking into the salsa and avocado sour cream dip. And let's not forget the star of the show: the fajita beef quesadillas. Packed with flavor and generously stuffed, these bad boys will satisfy all your quesadilla cravings!
We love Tio Javi’s. The spicy tuna tostada and fajita Chihuahua are our favorites…. And of course the margaritas. I love the sangria !
I've actually been dying to eat here for years. The atmosphere is lovely with talavera motifs everywhere. The tables are nice and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious and came quickly. The portions were great and my husband had enough for lunch the next day. Well worth the wait!
