The host was marvelous! Excellent humor! Server, however, being from Brazil needs a bit more time to familiarize with menu and service.
Pad Thai and Tom Kha delicious and fresh. The star of this meal was surprisingly the khoa pod tod fritters! Perfectly crisp and flavorful! And, you can't go wrong with the iced chai tea!
Ting Thai is a great spot to pop in for lunch!
Amazing place, we went to the Byres Road one on the Friday and we were that impressed we booked at the city centre one for the Saturday. We have been to Thailand quite a few times and never had the food replicated outside Thailand until now!!! Every dish was the smell and taste of Thailand and the service was equally as impressive. Special mention to Fraser. Thank you and when in Glasgow will defo be back. Fabulous!!
I have been to ting Thai twice. Once had khao suay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Next time visited with my husband order a small box of chicken grill, Thai green curry and fried rice, two cocktails and the taste is worth it. The price of the dishes ranges from £7 to £10. Portions are ok enough to make you happy.
I always have an absolute blast in this restaurant! The staff are brilliant, makes you feel right at home. I love that it has a street food vibe with high chairs but there are always racks available for you to hang your bags/jackets up which is very convenient when the restaurant is packed. The food always comes out so quickly and we're usually in and out in half an hour.
The lemongrass and ginger ice tea is a must have, along with the lychee juice if you're wanting something a little sweeter. Although I always go straight for a pad thai I have always enjoyed their Massaman Ped which is a piece of duck leg cooked in massaman curry. Their spicy chicken wings always have a nice kick but isn't too spicy.
This is the best thai restaurant in Glasgow for sure!!
Absolutely first class. The food here was amazing. Service unattentive but the food and vibe was spot on. Casual, quick and really really decent quality food. Cocktails were limited but really nice. 5 dishes and 2 Cocktails for £61 all fresh prawns etc. could not fault it.
Went here twice. About 15 pound per person if you order a meal and drinks. Great value. However the seat is not that comfy.
We had a great food experience at Ting Thai.
2 starters and 2 mains with soft drinks came to only £40 which, in todays eat-out market, is a great deal in my opinion. This did not reflect in the taste or quality of the food served either and we enjoyed the fresh flavours of everything we ordered.
Relaxed vibe inside with good music and prompt service.
Recommend the king prawn starter and Khao Mun Gai Tod (chicken dish).
Would definitely return to try other dishes!
Industrial and edgy restaurant serving excellent Thai food. Staff are super friendly and attentive! Food prices are reasonable and the portion sizes were great! Will definitely be back. Only issue I had was the stools are a bit uncomfortable so not ideal of you suffer from a sore back! A great experience with my daughter who loved it x
