Why has it taken this long for us to find this Gem! Absolutely thee best restaurant so far that we have found for breakfast. They currently only surve breakfast and lunch. But seems they are thinking dinner menus soon. This place was quite, and very welcoming. They provide two dinning areas, the lounge (bar- our favorite) that also has table tops for four. Then there is the dinner! Here is photos of our trip for breakfast!
The skillet was delicious! Simple, home cooking! The cinnamon roll was more of just a roll with icing, but the waitress (who was great) told us it isn't their normal ones due to supply issues. Good breakfast!
Need to change prices on the online menu uh quite a difference than what they really are. I was told it was under new management and they haven’t figured out how to change it yet. All in all great employees and the best omelette you’ll ever have.
Overall pretty great food for a great price. We ordered the TPI double cheeseburger and TPI skillet. Both tasted amazing!! We also ordered a side of pancakes which were only subpar. They tasted bland and were a bit burnt. Aside from that, I would say the skillet was one of the best I've had in town!

Times Past Inn is located at 1216 Towanda Ave in Bloomington, IL. It is near the Dollar General. The food that they serve is breakfast food like bagels, fruit, pancakes, cereal, waffles, etc and it tastes equivalent. It doesn't have much decor sadly. Only a few paintings and some gnomes and it's not that cool but what do you expect from a breakfast place. But I would go there all the time. The atmosphere is very homey because it's nice and dim and there are two parts of the restaurant, one a bar where you can eat and two the main lobby and there is a row of chairs at the bar part so you don't have to go to a table. It's not clean very much there's food under the table and the chairs are ripped in the booths and sometimes crumbs at the booth/table but that doesn't make the food taste that bad
For my entree I got Buttered bagels with cream cheese. It is fresh out of the toaster by the way if you wanted to know. biscuits and gravy are an option to get so i would though. Trust me it makes you mouthwater. For my beverage I always get a Sprite that is mouthwatering. It tastes really good so i recommend it but they also have lemonade i think.
My thoughts on the food that you can get at Times Past Inn are great. It's a good quick meal that you can get. If you need food on a trip, go to your nearest times past if you are near one. All in all I think you (the reader) should go to Times Past Inn because they have the best bagels and biscuits and gravy but that's what I get. They have cereal too
A great little family establishment. Good food, reasonable prices, friendly staff.
This place has an excellent breakfast menu, selection and service. Would not hesitate to eat breakfast here any day of the week.
Delicious food and great services for a low price. I went in during my lunch break and the restaurant was well staffed and the servers were quick and attentive. I got the salad bar, soup, Philly cheese, and fries. All for $8! And my sandwich was out before I even finished my salad! The Philly was hearty and the fries were plentiful. Plus, it all tasted great! The salad bar and the soup were self-serving which is good for seconds. Although, my first trip plus the entree were enough for me.
