I really enjoy working with these people. They are honest. They honor their work if it fails. Sarah really knows her stuff. In one case Sarah gave a really competitive price on a much better set of tires than I would I was quoted elsewhere. I was able to get a better product for around the same price. Also the office and shop is always clean. I have had my cars. serviced many times over 10 years. Pittstop is my go to choice for car service.
Although I'm committed to my family mechanic, I give credit where credit is due. This group, or rather team and the overall experience was spot on awesome! I notice little things and the most important little aspects of a mechanic and staff were excellent! They listened to what was needed. Not once did I hear anything to up-charge; which separates a 'number' with money versus a person who genuinely needs car assistance. The time was fast but informative. Meaning they advised concerns of parts but also asked me to see it which I thought was professional. Overall, great people, professional mechanics, and very reasonable prices. More importantly, honest, informative, and respectful; very hard to come by with some mechanic shops nowadays. Thank you and great job!
Called to see if they had time to change our oil before coming. They said it would be less than 30 minutes. Then more than 40 minutes later they tell us we have an oil pan that requires extra labor and it would be $110. I own an ‘06 Sequoia and have had the oil changed many times. Never has anyone tried to charge me extra or this exorbitant amount.
Quick in & out + friendly staff + more economical than competitors. Recommended.
These guys are great! I found their shop on a list from NPR's Car Talk and it has certainly lived up to the reputation. My wife and I have taken our cars there for about 5 years and they are always honest, affordable and friendly. They won't hesitate to tell you if things don't need to be fixed (I've had this happen a couple times) or if a repair can wait for a bit so you can save up. I highly recommend!
Took vehicle in for balljoint/axel replacement, front brake pads/rotors and oil pan replacement-
Picked up car on Monday, got to the lights at corner less then a block away, no breaks, grinding from front brakes, engine was rattling and shaking like it was going to fall out the car, check engine light on-took it right back
Service manager called and said there was a bolt running on the rotor and also a faulty bolt under the hood, which they fixed, picked the car up check engine light still on and radio wouldn't turn on, took it back, was told I needed a sensor and my radio fuses were good so only other option would be take out the radio, codes were rest so the check engine went off and mechanic said it was prolly just a hiccup told me test drive it, two blocks away check engine light comes back on, i take it back and said this needs fixed today, was told they couldn't do it today-
Iv taken my car back 4xs now and it's still not fixed and now the radio just doesn't work- spent $1400 with them for and my check engine light is on when it wasn't on until the second time I took it back and my radio does not turn on all of a sudden
We have been going to Pitstop for seven years. Pitstop is honest and do a wonderful job. They will tell you what is wrong without trying to charge extra for things that don't need changed. As you become a regular they know you by name and take great care of your family and your vehicles.
My truck started leaking antifreeze. so I took it in to them. they told me it was a gasket on my water pump and it would cost 180$ to fix. when I went to pick my truck up they charged me an extra 40 dollars to "spray" my radiator off and put 2 screws that might have cost 2 cents in my air return box which covers the air filter. I didn't ask for either of them to be done and where completely unnecessary. not to mention they forgot to put antifreeze back in my truck after the repairs. crazy right, but wait. it gets better. the next day my truck started dying. when I confronted Tim the manager about the issue he then told me my truck was dying when I brought it in " which it wasn't" and refused to take responsibility for it. this shop like so many others is a bunch a crooks. don't let them fool you. They are just another Walmart tire and lube. not a mechanics shop.
