So my vehicle was towed to the shop second week in August give or take a day or two. After they diagnosed the issue the decision was made that I would not be repairing it and so I paid them what I owed which was just a diagnostic fee. I then posted the vehicle for sale online. I went back to the shop two times after that to gather things out of the vehicle each time having conversations with the service manager. The vehicle was not in running condition so it took 4/5wks to sale. I go to meet the gentleman who was going to purchase it so that he can load it on his trailer and my car is gone. The shop had it towed. The never placed a call to me never a discussion about it needing to be removed off properly. The topic was never breached. They knew I my intent was not to abandon the car. So now I have to pay a tow fee and storage fees equaling $275. Their parking lot was empty except for three cars. They didn't need the room. My mind is blown this is how they reason to proceed with this. Just pick the phone up!!! They pick it up when it's time to get paid so I'm puzzled why they couldn't pick it up this time.

So since it was Sunday when I discovered my car had been towed. I had to wait till today(Monday) to speak to someone. I wanted to speak face to face with someone so I went in person. So I asked why was my car towed? The response I got was 'Because of the length of time it had been here' my response 'but we spoke about this you knew I wasn't planning on abandoning the car and I was selling it correct' Them:'Yes'. Me: 'where is your policy stating how long a car can be here' Them: 'We don't have one'. Me: 'why didn't somebody call me' Them: 'We did on the 7th' Me: 'let's check my missed calls on my phone' (no missed calls from them) Me: 'did you leave a message'(you would think if it's so important to get a car out of there that you have it towed you leave a message right?) Them: 'I can't remember' Me: 'can you tell me the number you called' Them:'it would be on your invoice' Me: 'let's pull the invoice and see if you have the right number' Them: 'Not sure where it is' Me: 'that's odd. So I still don't understand why don't you have it towed' Them: ???? ????????????
****As of right now still no offer from Tilly Mill to help pay for anything and the tow bill ended up being $400 and not $275.
If you’re looking for a good mechanic, here’s your spot. The turn around time takes a moment, but they’re honest and fair with their prices. Highly recommend if you live in the area.
Had them mount and balance 2 trailer tires for me.
They were reasonably priced and responsive when I called as well as having them ready when they said they would.
Danny and crew are great! Very helpful and quick turn around!
Came in with a check engine light on... could have been thousands of dollars butturns out that the repair was fairly simple. He did the ethical thing and didn't try to just do repairs for extra money! Thank you very much! I highly recommend Tilly Mill Auto Service Center
Owner definitely takes advantage of women (pay attention to the bad reviews, I agree with Holly and others). I recently had my car serviced and repaired at Firestone a few weeks ago, so as of today my car is issue-free. I decided to stop by Tilly Mill Auto Service today 7/12/19 for a quick $25 Emission Inspection(higher than many around town) but I decided I didn’t care. As he scans me in and connects my car to his system, his system shuts off “and isn’t connecting properly” so he asks me to come back after his system resets in about 10 minutes. I cranked up my car, and noticed that whatever he did caused 3 lights to appear on my dashboard (including the engine light). I didn’t think much of it, and pulled off knowing that I was coming back in 10 minutes. When I returned, a different guy tells me that they can’t do the emissions inspection with the engine light on. (It was not on before he touched my car the first time). He then tells me that he called the owner who I was working with 10 minutes prior, and the owner said that what he did to my car wouldn’t have made the engine light come on. The younger guy who is relaying the message, then tells me “you can pull it around to have them check it out”. Why would I pay them for an issue that they caused? I left, took my car back to my usual mechanic at Firestone, and they told me what the older guy did. Firestone reset everything and I did not have to pay a dime. If the old guy or Tilly Mill Auto Service did NOT want to service my car because of who I am (a young black woman) they should have just said so, and I would have happily left and took my business elsewhere. I am a woman, however I am not stupid. :/
I have been bringing all of our cars to Danny, Ken, and their crew for many years and explicitly trust them when it comes to any and all aspects of our cars maintenance. There has never been a time when work has been performed when it wasn't needed, or that I felt overcharged.
Extremely rude. Pulled up for emissions 2 hrs before they closed. Some guy just kept doing the throat cut motion. Didn’t say one word to us. Won’t be back.
