Big car park. Pay by the app or cash (machine for cash far from entrance!).
Straight onto the dunes and beach (mind out for golf balls!!)
The fairly small Thurlestone car park allows you to gain access to the long stretch of natural golden sands.
The paid car park is not paved and slopes quite steeply so some care is needed.
There are some nice viewpoints of the coast in both directions from the South West Coast Path near the car park. You can get an overview of what lies below.
Nearby the beach there is a nature reserve reached from a path on the left of the road down to the beach. We spotted a Little Egret bird here (can just be seen in our photo of the small stream that runs past the nature reserve). You can get to the beach using this longer route if you want to explore a bit.
It's a simple parking spot. But what a view to savour. £3 for a day's parking iscscresl bargain too. Well done to those who look after it.

Has toilet facilities (not great but more than some beaches have) and a nice cafe.
Easy access to beach. Was a bit concerned we'd get a packing ticket as machine wouldn't accept cash
National trust gets very busy and was full on the bank holiday. Other times is OK
Pay and display. Amazing views with direct access to the South West Coastal Path.
