Any time we are going to be passing through Cascade we make sure to schedule it around mealtime. We had lunch there again and they truly delivered! Best burgers in Idaho. I asked the dream team to let me take a picture of them so I could leave them this review. Make sure you stop in if you’re in the area.
This place is a must-stop any time it's meal time and I'm in Cascade. The attraction to the "great beyond" wilderness north of the city isn't limited to the pristine forests and natural beauty, but also the hand made delights at Thunder Mountain Burgers. The burgers were juicy, substantial, and a great selection of fresh veggie toppings, all held together by freshly baked potato buns. The fries were hot and fresh, and the selection of dipping sauces are unrivaled by any burger establishment outside of Boise Fry Company. (Chipotle, fry sauce, ranch, ketchup, mustard, mayo). The shakes are delicious, and they are very accommodating with extra ingredient options to add-in. ( I had an oreo vanilla milkshake with Reese's bits added in). You won't leave hungry with a combo meal like this!
I'm visiting Idaho from Tennessee and came to Cascade to do some hiking. We stopped at Thunder Mountain Burgers on a whim. Wow, fantastic burgers and the prices were more than fair also. The fries and shakes were great, also.

The hamburgers were excellent, all the toppings were fresh and the patty was perfectly cooked. Fries came hot and I swear the pickles were the best I have had on a burger. The small town feel was welcoming and the service terrific. Ample parking if you are towing an RV or a toy trailer. There's even an old school Pac Man game for the kids! Keep doing what you're doing, this will be a stop of ours when we come through Cascade from now on. Glad I stopped in.

We have gluten allergies, they were out of gluten free buns so we each got the triple burger on lettuce with cheese& bacon ... I don't know what they do .. but they were awesome!
Update: we stopped by again and again we both feel these are the best burgers in Idaho and probably other places as well; these are amazing burgers!

Bring your appetite if you want a triple. That's a lot of food. Atmosphere is chill, employees are happy and lots of parking for your towed toys.
Local burger joint with good burgers at a great price. We had a group of eight and the order was accurate. Kids loved the milkshakes. I grew up in Idaho so we always look forward to fry sauce when we visit, be sure to try it!
